About Me

I imagine myself to be motivated and honest to a fault, and throughout all my part-time job roles and my current full-time work, I have been well liked by my managers and colleagues. I am currently looking for a new job which allows me to acquire new skills, and this care role seems like a good opportunity to add to my curriculum vitae, which features a STEM degree and relevant work experience. Academically, I have always exceeded above the expectations of most of my teachers, and have afforded a good reputation in my school, where me and two other male students were mentioned for our year's GCSE results in the local newspaper.
What attracted me to this role was that In the future if I would potentially go into teaching or home tutoring, however the bulk of these jobs require a minimum of past experience. I have had a week's work experience during sixth form where I worked alongside support workers to provide company to clients with disabilities.
Although itself not directly relevant, the experience I had studying chemistry at UEA got me used to handling a lot of stress, particularly during time-sensitive procedures involving dangerous and volatile reagents with many warning labels, and this is one transferable skill that is very valuable when it comes to working in care, this as well as knowing why it's important to follow protocol.
