About Me

Hi, I’m Jaz, making a positive difference, particularly in the lives of young people, led me to study Educational Psychology at University. Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience across a range of settings, but I have found that my greatest impact — and personal fulfilment — comes from working as a nanny. Supporting young people and their families directly has allowed me to build strong, meaningful, and lasting relationships.
I’m now looking for a nanny family who will embrace my skills, energy, and dedication, and who will welcome me into their home with open arms and appreciation.

My Experience

My background in educational psychology has given me a deep understanding of how children learn, develop, and manage their emotions, which directly supports my work as a nanny. While studying at university, I worked as a Mental Health Peer Mentor and Student Coordinator, where I not only supported individual students but also oversaw a team — developing strong skills in leadership, emotional support, and organisation. These experiences equipped me to work sensitively and effectively with a wide range of needs, an essential foundation for my nanny roles. Professionally, I have worked as a nanny for children with SEN/SEMH needs, as well as newborns, toddlers, and twins, across families in both the south of England and Manchester. Each role required a tailored, compassionate approach to meet the unique developmental, emotional, and educational needs of each child. Additionally, my experience as a Primary School Youth Mentor Project Leader, where I managed mentors and delivered interventions for at-risk youth, has strengthened my ability to create supportive, structured environments that promote resilience and positive growth. As a 1:1 SEN/SEMH teaching assistant, I create individualised curriculums, I have honed my skills in planning, adapting, and delivering personalised support — all of which directly enhance my ability to nurture, educate, and care for children in a nanny role.

My Qualifications

I hold a BSc in Educational Psychology, am first aid trained, and have completed safeguarding training, ensuring I can provide a safe, nurturing, and informed environment for the children in my care.

My Availability

I am currently seeking full-time work, ideally Monday to Friday, with working hours between 7:30/8:00am and 5:30/6:00pm. However, I am flexible and happy to adjust my availability to meet the needs of the family I work with. I am also open to occasional weekend work, provided notice is given in advance.

My Fees

  • Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
  • Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)

£19 per hour, however this can be negotiable for the right nanny family.
