My Experience

I’m a qualified Early Years Teacher with over 5 years of childcare experience. I’ve had the pleasure of working across a range of roles, including as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, and Nursery Nurse. This has given me a strong understanding of different age groups and the ability to adapt to each child’s unique needs.

Preschool Nursery Practitioner - Bright Horizons

As a Nursery Practitioner I work closely with a small knit team. we work together to create a fun, stimulating and educational environment. I plan and organise activities for children, change nappy's, work on all areas of development. I observe, assess and record children's progress throughout the week providing parents with daily, weekly and monthly feedback. I support children with additional needs and encourage independence by creating a safe environment.

Class Teacher / SEN /Teaching Assistant - Now Education

I took on several roles within different schools from class teacher to SEN TA. This made a a very adaptable individual, I was able to create strong relationships with adults and students within a short period of time. I worked alongside different teams and helped educate a multitude of different children, ages, skills and ability. I adapted and worked with several safeguarding polices.

Photography Teacher - The Springfield Project

In my free time I taught a six-week long photography club for young under-privileged children at The Springfield project in hopes to make the area a more child friendly place. I planned fun and informative lessons as well as weekly day trips for children to explore and take pictures of their local area. I tailored assigned tasks to suit students' passions, interests and abilities to
create positive, stimulating learning environment.

Supporting 1-1 SEN child with autism and social, emotional and physical moods. I worked closely with a child who required a feeding tube. I assisted students to reach social development milestones. I supported teachers in managing challenging student behaviour, contributing to progress meetings to provide feedback, raise concerns and recommend appropriate action, I worked with students in small groups and 1:1 to provide additional support with activities and lessons, offering constructive feedback and advice to develop writing, reading and physical strength skills. I helped children with eating, dressing and other aspects of personal care while encouraging independence.

I attended regular training opportunities to expand professional knowledge and further carer progression. designed educational activities for young children in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EMFS) curriculum. I boosted literacy and numeracy attainment using innovative games and exercises. I handled nappy changes and baby feeding while keeping detailed log sheets. I delivered rich learning opportunities for children with diverse abilities.
