About Me
Hi, my name is Rebecca. I am a Ofsted registered Childminder. I have 3 children all of primary and secondary school age. Hence I have extensive experience as a mother, who is deeply involved in creating a fun, safe, nurturing environment.
I also have a medical nursing background which I have worked in for over 21 years
We live in a modern new build house with a couple of dedicated play rooms which has a downstairs WC that is ideal for children especially who are potty training. We have a safe and fully enclosed back garden for outdoor play.
I provide a wide selection of equipment including age appropriate toys, games, books, arts & craft.
I aim to deliver a home-like atmosphere, where every child feels at home, away from home, which is a safe, caring, nurturing and an educational environment.
Our activities often include walks to the local park. We also have trips to the farm, local woods, and soft play areas. I feel children learn a lot from spending time outdoors, natural environments and benefit from social interaction with other children and adults.
I feel the path I have taken as a profession and career is very rewarding for me as I gain a great deal of job satisfaction, working and caring for children in there most crucial part of their lives, knowing that I have helped and had a hand in supporting and paving a way to help them going forward in their futures.
My Experience
Along with my nursing qualifications and medical background where I also dealt with children for over 21 years, firstly and most importantly I am a mother and have experience with my own children, my nephew's and nieces that I have helped raise and looked after. I have worked and had experience at a nursery setting, where I have worked with a wide range of children who have special needs. This has helped me gain a lot of experience especially with the different age ranges.
