About Me
I am Laura, a new childminder in the local area. I am currently in the process of registering with OFSTED and expect to be open my home up to new children from September 2025. I gained my level 3 childcare qualifications in 2014 and continued to work within a childcare setting for a few of years. I then moved on and have worked for Essex Police for over 6 years. Since having my second child, I decided that it’s now the time for me revisit my love for working with young children and supporting them to grow, learn and develop. I am currently completing further training to make sure that I can offer prospective parents and their children the best childcare service. Training in areas including Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Children and working within the EYFS.
My Experience
My youngest is currently 15 months old and my eldest is 4, who will be starting school in September which means I have experience working with young children day in and day out. As mentioned previously I have also spent a number of years working within a nursery setting which had varying age groups. My children and I are out every day, no matter the weather. We love splashing in puddles, feeding the ducks, scavenger hunts and much more and we can't wait to share these experiences with some new friends.

My Availability
I know only too well how overwhelming it can be trying to find the work/life balance when you are returning to work, I aim to help prospective parents and their child(ren) to make this transition as seamless as possible. I am currently in the positing to offer childcare Monday through to Wednesdays between the hours of 06:30hrs and 17:00hrs.
