My Summary
About Me
Hi, I'm Charlie, a mum to a wonderful 3-year-old, and I offer occasional babysitting in my home in Upper Weston, for children aged 6 months and older.
I’m currently waiting for my Ofsted registration to become a fully registered childminder, so this is an opportunity for you to get reliable, professional childcare while I complete the final steps of my registration process. I am also currently taking interest in my childminding spaces as I am due to be registered with Ofsted by August.
My home is a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for your child to enjoy some time away from home.
What I currently offer:
Occasional babysitting only (currently no regular weekly commitments)
A welcoming and playful space where your child can enjoy their time while you take care of your own needs
I can care for children 6 months and older.
My own 3-year-old will also be present, offering a friendly playmate, and we also have fun pet cats at home, adding to the lively atmosphere!
If you're looking for flexible, occasional babysitting in a caring, child-friendly environment, please get in touch!
In regards to childminding, I offer A peaceful, safe, nurturing, slow-paced environment, rooted in nature, rhythm, and simplicity. This is a home-from-home for children aged 2+, where childhood unfolds gently and organically.
Our days are mostly spent outdoors, wandering along country lanes, exploring woodlands, paddling in streams, and pottering about at our mini allotment. There are no overstimulating soft plays, busy parks, or noisy playgroups here — just real-life adventures, fresh air, and space to be.
Children are gently included in the flow of the day, helping to prepare wholesome, organic meals, learning to grow their own food, and gaining confidence through hands-on experiences. We take a clean-living approach to food and home life: no artificial fragrances, no harsh chemicals, no ultra-processed ingredients. Meals are cooked with care using non-toxic, safe kitchenware and simple, nourishing ingredients.
We live as a family with my own three year-old son, and the day flows in a way that feels natural for the children in our care. Alongside free play and time in nature, I gently introduce a seasonal nature study from Blossom & Stardust into our daily rhythm, offering opportunities for curiosity-led learning inspired by the world around us.
When we’re not out on our adventures, there’s a cozy reading nook for quieter moments, and a creative space where children can explore their talents — painting, music, singing, dancing, and more. They also have their own little station within the kitchen to prep their own food.
Nap times aren’t scheduled, children rest as and when they need, whether that’s on a floor bed, a beanbag in the garden, or lying back in the grass under the open sky.
This is a home where childhood is unhurried, wholehearted, and woven gently into real life.

Please note that I won’t be able to confirm any start dates until registration with Ofsted is complete. Thank you for your understanding!
My Experience
My most meaningful and hands-on experience comes from raising my own child. This has given me a deep, everyday understanding of children's needs, emotions, routines, and development, from babyhood through toddlerhood. I’m confident in caring for little ones, creating engaging activities, handling big feelings gently, and providing a safe, nurturing environment. I’ve also supported friends and family with their children over the years, and caring for children feels like second nature to me.
