Our son has been with Liz for a year now and we couldn’t be happier with the care he has received. He first joined her at the age of nine months, and Liz made sure he felt at ease and at home with her from the start, keeping the settling-in arrangements flexible until all our needs were met.
Liz looks after a small group of children in her own home, making this a very homely, friendly and familial setting. She provides a calm environment with different toys and activities and also a garden space for when the weather is nice. Liz makes sure to read to the children and sing with them frequently – in fact our son has come home with his very first song (twinkle twinkle little star) that he picked up at her place! On most days, the children go outside visiting nearby parks, so they get plenty of outdoor exercise. Liz frequently also organises special activities such as baking, painting, building a den or crafts projects, so we have had lots of seasonal little gifts and paintings brought home from hers.
Liz has a calm, kind and reassuring presence, and is always caring and loving towards the children. She helps them learn how to share, how to pay attention to each other’s needs and moods, and guides skillfully the interactions between the different ages. We really feel our son is able to thrive in this environment, learning from the older children as well as profiting from Liz’s care and attention.
Overall, we can thoroughly recommend Liz, we feel very lucky to have found her and it is so reassuring to know our son is in excellent hands while we are at work during the day.
