My Experience

I have hands-on experience working with children across various settings, which has strengthened my skills in supervision, communication, and creating engaging, age-appropriate activities. One of the most rewarding experiences was working at a summer camp in the United States, where I spent several weeks living and working with children aged 5–16. My role involved leading group games, organising arts and crafts, supporting children with daily routines, and ensuring a fun and safe environment.
In addition to the camp, I’ve also supported children through babysitting, volunteering in classrooms, and participating in my university’s teaching placements. These roles have helped me develop a deeper understanding of child behaviour, educational support strategies, and the importance of empathy and structure in caregiving.

My Qualifications

Currently in my last year studying Bachelor of Arts with Honours Professional Education (Primary) with specialism in literacyspe – building strong skills in child development, learning support, and classroom management.
Enhanced DBS Check – fully cleared and up to date.
Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED Certified – trained to respond to emergencies, including paediatric care.
Practical experience with behaviour management, safeguarding protocols, and inclusive education through academic placements and work with children.
Confident communicator with a caring, responsible, and professional approach to working with children and families.
