My Experience

Two years of tutoring experience that include:
• Supporting the learning of children who are in school full time, by addressing misconceptions and providing specialised 1-1 support that wouldn't be possible in their school setting.
• Teaching children who are home educated, including a child who required specialist support due to visual impairment. Extra responsibilities with this particular role include:
- Adapting teaching materials to allow access to learning.
- I have learned to both read and write braille to a standard where I can successfully and confidently teach braille as part of a daily timetabled routine.
- Plan and deliver a full, balanced curriculum to ensure that the child is following the national curriculum, with the long-term goal of reintegration into a classroom environment.
- Liaising between parents, schools and the local authority to arrange the child's reintegration back into the classroom.

Six years of classroom teaching experience that include:
• Maths Lead – Was given the TLR of Maths Lead for the school as it was a particular area in need of development.
• Teaching across all age groups from Reception - Year 6
• Organised and delivered targeted interventions based on a gap analysis spreadsheet that I created (preparation for SATs).
• History lead – Worked closely with leadership to improve history curriculum that ensure clear progression from Reception – Year 6

Discounted rate of £35 per session for home educated families and school holidays.
