My Experience

In my current role as a Higher Teaching Learning Assistant, I have honed my attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to maintain a calm, controlled environment under pressure. I provide a safe and comfortable learning environment where students are able to take risks and challenges in their learning, in order to further succeed and achieve their learning goals. Previously, as a lead exams invigilator, I’ve not only managed my responsibilities but also led a team of invigilators, ensuring smooth operations across multiple exam sessions. This experience sharpened my leadership abilities, while further enhancing my capacity to oversee high-stakes situations with professionalism and composure.
I have also served as an Office Administrator at i-Ingredients Ltd, where I played an integral role in organising administrative tasks, processing customer orders, and supporting daily office functions. I worked closely with the Managing Director and staff to streamline logistics and documentation processes, which contributed to improved operational efficiency and a more organised work environment.
My earlier experience as a Café All-Rounder and Service Manager at Leaf Café & Co provided me with the opportunity to develop excellent customer service and team leadership skills. Managing staff, maintaining customer relationships and ensuring smooth daily operations helped me cultivate strong communication and multitasking skills—essential for any role that requires efficiency and customer service interaction.
Additionally, my tenure as a Grade Supervisor and Classroom Teacher at Matthew Pearce Public School (12 years) allowed me to demonstrate my leadership, adaptability and dedication to student success. I worked with a wide range of students, from those with special needs to high-achieving students, while also contributing to extracurricular activities such as coaching and overseeing a Year 5 dance group. My ability to manage diverse classrooms and lead staff as a Grade Supervisor further reflects my leadership capabilities and my strong reputation for effective classroom management.
