I’m a reliable and calm Henley local with six years of experience working with children. I come from a large, close-knit family and have two younger sisters, so I’ve always felt at ease caring for children of all ages. I attended Rotherfield Peppard Primary School, then St Helen and St Katharine’s for secondary and sixth form, before going on to complete a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Science Communication at the University of Bristol.
Alongside my studies, I was heavily involved in rowing as a coxswain, balancing a full-time training schedule with academic work—something that’s made me highly organised and used to early mornings. I’m an active and outdoorsy person, and I enjoy bringing that energy into the time I spend with children.
Academically, I’m confident supporting schoolwork across all subjects, with a particular strength in sciences and maths. I achieved A*, A, A, and B in Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and Global Perspectives at A-Level.
I’ve recently returned to Henley after finishing my master’s and am looking for childcare work from August to December 2025.
My Experience
Since 2019, I have gained a variety of experience working with children in different roles. I have worked as a babysitter, providing reliable and attentive care in family settings. I’ve also been a primary school science instructor, where I developed engaging lessons to inspire young learners. Additionally, I have coached gymnastics and fencing, helping children build confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills. Most recently, I worked as a school lab technician at St Helen and St Katharine’s School in Oxford, supporting practical science lessons and ensuring a safe, well-equipped learning environment.
My Qualifications
While I am not currently registered with a nanny agency, I am actively exploring this option. I hold a full UK DBS check and have a clean UK driving license with six years of experience, as well as my own car with a no-claims history, ensuring reliable transportation. Additionally, I completed a Child First Aid course at St Helen and St Katharine’s in 2021 and am happy to renew this qualification if a more recent certification is required.
My Availability
Starting September 2025, I hope to return to coxing at home (Henley), which means I’ll be an early riser. I’m available to assist with childcare and school support Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Additionally, I have flexible availability during school holidays and some weekends to accommodate families’ varying needs.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
My usual rate is £15, which takes into account my experience and qualifications. I’m happy to chat about any extra costs like fuel for travel or meals during childcare, so everything is clear and fair from the start. I’m flexible and always happy to work with families to find what suits you best.
