I’m a fully Ofsted-registered childminder based in the heart of Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead. With over 7 years of experience working as a nanny, nursery practitioner and a childminding assistant, I’ve had the joy of supporting children of all ages and stages. I also hold a Level 3 NVQ in Early Years, which has given me a deep understanding of child development and how to support each child’s unique learning journey.
I live with my husband and our two beautiful children—our daughter who is 3 and our son who is 1—in a 3-bedroom home filled with love and laughter. We’re lucky to have a spacious, secure garden that’s perfect for outdoor play, exploration, and fresh-air adventures!
As a mum myself, I know how important it is to find someone who will care for your little one as if they were their own. I’m passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel safe, happy, and supported to thrive through play-based learning.
I love planning fun and enriching days for the children in my care. We often enjoy outings to places like Willows Farm, Whipsnade Zoo, and DJ’s Soft Play—thanks to our annual passes—giving children the chance to explore, make memories, and learn about the world around them.
My setting is designed to encourage creativity, confidence, and kindness, with activities tailored to meet every child’s individual needs. I work closely with parents to build a strong, open relationship, so we can work together to support your child’s development and well-being every step of the way.
My Experience
With a Level 3 NVQ in Early Years Practitioner, I bring a wealth of professional knowledge and hands-on experience to my role as a childminder. Over the years, I’ve worked as a childminder assistant, in a nursery, and as a nanny—plus, I’m a proud mum of two! This broad experience has given me a deep understanding of children’s diverse needs and how to support their growth at every stage.
I’m passionate about creating a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where all children thrive. I’ve also had the privilege of working with disabled children, which has further enriched my skills in providing tailored care and ensuring every child feels valued and empowered.
I’m excited to bring my dedication and expertise to your family’s childcare journey! With my passion, experience, and commitment, I’m here to support your child’s growth, nurture their potential, and offer peace of mind knowing they’re in expert hands.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 3 NVQ in Early Years Education, which has provided me with a solid foundation in child development and early learning practices. My qualifications are further complemented by an Enhanced DBS Check, ensuring that your child’s safety is my utmost priority at all times.
In addition, I am trained in Paediatric First Aid, meaning I’m fully equipped to respond effectively to any emergency situation involving young children. I also have up-to-date training in Safeguarding and Welfare, giving me the skills to protect your child in any circumstance and to recognise signs of distress or abuse.
I am also well-versed in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, enabling me to offer developmentally appropriate activities and ensure your child is progressing in line with government expectations.

We feel very fortunate to have found Rhy to look after our children (aged 3 and 1 years). Rhy is warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in our children's happiness and development. Our children are always excited to see her, and we know they are safe and having a wonderful time.
Rhy plans great days out with lots of variety and adventure. The children are often at the farm / zoo / park / soft play / splash park etc. At home, activities include baking, crafts, imaginative play, and various age-appropriate educational activities.
Rhy has built a nurturing, home-from-home environment and we couldn’t recommend her more highly—she’s everything we hoped for in a childminder and more.
