Hi, my name is Amelia. I am currently a medical student at the University of Nottingham, training to become a paediatrician with over a year of experience working directly in childcare. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
My Experience
Through my degree, I have become proficient in first aid, learning skills such as neonatal and paediatric CPR. Additionally, I have completed Level 2 qualifications in child safeguarding and food hygiene, as well as being CPD certified in paediatric first aid and allergens.
Outside of term times, I work at a local children's summer camp. I look after 5-12-year-olds from 8 am to 6 pm, so I am experienced in working with these age groups. In this role, I planned, delivered and assisted in delivering activities to up to around 40 children. These activities include board games, inside and outside sports, swimming and arts and crafts. I always aim to ensure each child enjoys the activity by adapting the activity and being encouraging. I also prepared food for children at the camp, carefully considering their dietary requirements and their preferences.

My Qualifications
Level 2 in Child Safeguarding
Level 2 in Food Hygiene
CPD certified in paediatric first aid
CPD certified in allergen safety
10 GCSEs (A-A*), and A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Spanish. Currently, I am completing degrees in Biomedical Science (BMedSci) and Medicine (BMBS).
