About Me
I am currently a finishing my first year at the university of Birmingham, where I’ve been studying English Language and Linguistics. I’ve been living in student accommodation this year, and have a house ready for next year, but am originally from Swansea, Wales.
I have a range of interests, having done 5 a levels at college, being Sociology, Ancient History, English Language, Textiles, and Welsh baccalaureate. I received grades B-A*, and have great confidence academically, having helped with tutoring family friends and my sibling, English being my expertise.
I was also in a drama school from the ages of 7-18, and in Girl Guides from 8-17, giving me confidence, creativity, and the opportunity to lead the younger classes, aiding in my babysitting experience.
I am very interested in fashion and have a lot of associated ‘quiet’ hobbies, being knitting, sewing, scrapbooking, embroidery, and design, which I’ve taught to the younger siblings of friends as a calm bonding activity.
My Experience
I babysat regularly where I lived previously, for as many as 5 children at once, and children at various levels of neurodiversity.
I'm an energetic and patient babysitter with experience caring for children of all ages, from toddlers to grade-schoolers. I am responsible, talkative, and enjoy engaging with kids in fun activities such as drawing, reading, crafting, and playing games.
The family I babysat for often I would see most weekends, for putting the kids to bed for the evening. I also took them on days out, such as to the park, on walks to the castle and wood, down the beach, and to the swimming pool.
I am used to helping with homework, and have helped tutor family friends, specifically with English Literature and Language.
I also have experience babysitting children with epilepsy and narcolepsy who had to be administered medication at specific times, and was consistent and reliable when it came to this aspect of the children’s safety.
My Qualifications
I don’t have any technical qualifications as i am looking for casual babysitting work, but I am confident in my experience with working for previous families, and have had some first aid training in the past as a part of Girl Guides and Lifeguards.
My Availability
My availability is pretty much anytime, I have one holiday booked with friends this month from the 21st-25th June, and am moving in to my new house from the 1st-2nd of July, but other than that I am available for the majority of the summer.
