Hello, my name is Tacilla. I’m 29 years old, originally from Brazil, and I’ve been living in Bristol with my husband for the past three years. I’m fluent in Portuguese and have an intermediate level of English.
Although I don’t have children of my own, I’ve been working with babies and young children for over three years. I am a very patient and dedicated person who truly loves working with little ones. For me, childcare is more than just a job – it’s a passion. Helping children discover the world around them brings me great joy.
I’m also someone who loves to teach and support others. I consider myself brave, resilient, and always eager to grow both personally and professionally. In my free time, I enjoy colouring, spending time in parks, going to the cinema, and exploring nature through long walks and hiking trails. I value quality time with family and friends, and I love being surrounded by people I care about.
As a nanny, I give my very best every day. I believe that building a warm, trusting relationship with each child and their family is essential, and I take pride in being reliable, caring, and attentive in everything I do.
My Experience
I have experience caring for babies from 6 months old up to children aged 6. I’ve been working with one family for over 3 years — I started when their son, Pip (now 3), was just 6 months old.
The activities I offer are varied and tailored to the child’s age and development. I love encouraging creativity through drawing, painting, and colouring, and I also enjoy sports activities like football. I use elements of heuristic play to support exploration and learning, along with activities that promote fine and gross motor skills, such as games, storytelling, and shared reading time.
In our daily routine, we regularly attend playgroups, library sessions, and outdoor activities, including gym classes, messy play, and visits to local parks and green spaces. I have strong experience in supporting structured routines, including nap and sleep schedules.
I am also confident in the kitchen and able to prepare balanced and nutritious meals for children.
Currently, I’ve been working with two families – one in the morning and another in the afternoon. From August onwards, I will have some availability, as the children will be attending nursery/school.
