Hi! My name is Yasmin, and I absolutely love working with children of all ages and personalities. With a bubbly and energetic nature, I bring positivity and patience into every environment I’m in—whether I’m looking after a calm little one or keeping up with a high-energy child!
I’ve had extensive experience working in schools, where I’ve supported children's learning and development in both academic and creative settings. In addition to my professional experience, I also come from a big family and have three younger siblings. Growing up around them has given me a deep understanding of the challenges parents can face, as well as a strong appreciation for how special childhood truly is. I believe it's important to cherish every moment, as those early years fly by and never come back.
Alongside childcare, I’m also able to offer tutoring in creative subjects such as Design Technology, Art, and Food Technology right up to university level.
I’m passionate about helping young people explore their creativity while feeling safe, supported, and inspired.
My Experience
I have several years of hands-on experience working with children in both educational and home settings. I’ve taught in schools across different age groups, supporting students not just academically but also emotionally and socially. My background includes tutoring in creative subjects like Design Technology, Art, and Food Technology up to university level. On top of my professional work, I’ve grown up helping care for my three younger siblings, which taught me early on the importance of patience, understanding, and the joy that comes from being part of a child’s everyday life. This combination of personal and professional experience has given me the confidence to care for children with a range of personalities, from calm and shy to very energetic and active.
My Qualifications
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Architecture, which has equipped me with a strong foundation in creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking. Through my studies, I developed a deep understanding of spatial awareness, visual communication, and hands-on skills that translate well into both teaching and engaging children in creative activities. My academic background also enables me to tutor students in Design Technology, Art, and Food Technology up to university level. In addition to my degree, my experience working in schools has given me valuable training in classroom support, child development, and adapting learning methods to suit different needs and personalities.
My Availability
I am available most days for childcare and am happy to offer flexible scheduling to suit your family's needs. Please feel free to reach out with your preferred times even if they fall outside of typical hours as I’m always willing to adjust where possible. I understand that every family’s routine is different, and I’ll do my best to accommodate and work around your schedule. Bookings can be arranged in advance or discussed on request.
