About Me
We're parents to two amazing kids living in Exeter. Our oldest (just turned 10), has ADHD and ASD. He's bright, funny and full of energy, but is currently struggling to attend school so is at home a lot. He loves gaming and playing imaginative role-play games as well as running around outside, once he can be convinced to put down his controller. Our younger daughter (6 years) is going to school, and loves drawing, crafting, going to the playground, etc. She has lots of energy but fewer additional needs. Both myself and my partner work full time (from home) and are struggling with the extra demands of our oldest being out of school, so need some extra help keeping on top of everything. We have a lovely garden and live near lots of open space so have plenty of outdoor options on our doorstep.
My Requirements
We're looking for someone to come in a couple of afternoons a week to mostly hang out with our son (and his sister once she's home from school) as well as help out with a bit of tidying and making dinner where possible. His big passion is gaming, so we're looking for someone who can share that love with him, as well as encourage him to get out of the house once in a while. Ideally we'd find someone with some experience of working with kids with additional needs and won't be phased by beige food requirements and a low demand approach to caring for him.
