Amazing Childminder

Jenny is an excellent childminder. Our son has been going to her since he was 16 months and he absolutely loves going. Jenny provides a homely atmosphere and works with my son daily to help his speech and general development. He has came on leaps and bounds since starting and I love seeing the excitement on his face when we drop him off in the mornings. He clearly feels very safe and comfortable when with Jenny. He is also socialised with other children regularly through other children attending or on the outings Jenny takes them to parks, soft plays etc.

As parents we love seeing the pictures of what our son has been up to through the day via the daily journal Jenny completes. Jenny communicates with us clearly and is flexible if we require an earlier or later pick up time for our soon.

Thank you Jenny you have been brilliant.

Mary Poppins

Jenny Matrejek aka Jenny Rainbow Stars has been childminding my first son (O) for over 3.5 years and my second (N) for nearly 2 years. She looks after them for three days a week, but sometimes more depending on my shifts or other needs. I work for the NHS and work shifts. Finding a childminder that could accommodate my unpredictable rota and provide childcare flexibly at an affordable price was really difficult to find. Jenny was wonderfully flexible and supportive from day one.

To say I have been satisfied with the care Jenny has given my children is an understatement. I don’t think I will ever be able to find the words to express how amazing she is or how grateful I am.

I have been extremely happy with the care O and N have received, and the great progress they have made. Jenny’s home is always welcoming, clean and well organised. She has an extension on the side of her property purpose built for the children she minds. She has structured play which aids their learning and development. Jenny has been amazing at identifying their learning needs and interests and adapts play for them to progress in those areas. O and N love going into Jenny’s, and often run in without saying goodbye. I often joke that she is the Mum they wish they had, even though deep down

Jenny provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. There’s a great park near her house which the children love exploring. I know O and N have enjoyed sand and water play, den building, crafts, painting, messy play, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park, trips to feed the ducks and walks in the woods.

Jenny goes above and beyond the call of duty. If it wasn’t for Jenny’s support not only to my children but also to me, I would have struggled greatly after having my second child. N was born in the middle of a pandemic. Along with a lot of other women during that time I suffered with PND. N was especially clingy, he wouldn’t take a bottle, he wouldn’t settle with anyone else, he wouldn’t sleep. He was a normal baby, but I wasn’t coping. I felt isolated and alone. From when N was 6-month-old Jenny would take care of N to give me time to do anything I needed for my self-care, whether that was a shower, a nap, a walk around the block to clear my head. Jenny was there for N and was there for me. I also had reoccurring mastitis for the first 4 months. During that time Jenny would offer to look after O to allow my body to recover and sleep.

Jenny runs a busy household. She manages the children in her care with a friendly and warm but no-nonsense approach which sets her apart from other childminders I have seen or ones my friends use.

She is amazing at communicating with the children. O and N respect her and evidently feel safe and secure in her care. She has no trouble gaining O and N’s confidence, encouraging their good behaviour, kindness and compassion to other and to each other. Behaviours and skills which are very important to us at home. O and N respond well to Jenny when she reinforces boundaries and discipline in a calm, firm, fair and kind manner. She explains what behaviours we like to see instead, and it blows my mind that they truly do listen and understand. A skill I am still yet to master at home.

I am reassured knowing that O and N are happy and have such a good relationship with Jenny that they can be comforted by her when they feel under the weather. I am confident that she can give them medicine, or first aid should they need it, and I know that she follows all the correct procedures. She completes all documentation as required by her governing body and health and safety. She continues practicing potty training and toileting during her care and has been very supportive of both O and N’s potty journeys. She encourages hand washing after toileting and before meals. I know that they follow good hand hygiene, the boys tell me all about it.

Jenny also does school drop offs and pick ups to the school for my eldest. After school she always ensures O and N are fed as sometimes, they are collected late. Unfortunately, traffic isn’t always on our side. We get daily updates of our childrens learning, play and adventures including meals and naps.

So, Jenny, thank you for being a perfect childminder to my two rambunctious boys. You have so much energy, patience, motivation, passion, and enthusiasm for what you do, and you are truly a magical gift to the children you care for. Your drive for learning and supporting children to shine and grow is shown through your compassion, warmth and undeniable care. O and N love you. They get excited to see you and adore spending time with you. They are turning into strong, confident, independent, self-assured and happy boys. We have you to thank for that. You truly are the Mum they wish they had.

I would absolutely recommend Jenny as a great and reliable childminder. She is my Mary Poppins.

Great service, friendly and affordable

Jenny looks after my daughter 2-3 days per week. My daughter enjoys going to Jenny’s and does lots of activities, including going to the library, making their own pizzas, playing on the park, lots of arts and crafts, etc!
Jenny has always been super flexible when I’ve needed it.
She encourages child development and often sends videos of my daughter saying new words, as well as pictures of them doing different activities throughout the day.

Amazing childminder *****

My child was born very premature and struggled with certain aspects of his development. In the last 7 months since being with Jenny he has come on massively with his learning, speech, social skills and physical development. Jenny is dedicated, reliable and flexible. She takes him out to play groups, parks, does painting and a wide range of learning activities. My child has progressed at such a fast rate that I would highly recommend Jenny as first class childcare provider.

Excellent Childminder at affordable prices

Jenny looked after my 18 months old son for 3 months and within that time I could see Jake has made massive progreess with his speech. He really liked spending time with Jenny and I never had issues with him not wanting to go back. I was also very impressed how Jenny kept little toddlers clean, they did lots of painting & drawing activitities but his clothes were always spottless. Overall I would highly recommend Jenny as she is an excellent childminder and kids seem to love spending time with her.

Fantastic care

My children have been with Jenny for 2 years now. They both have developed a very positive relationship with her. My youngest daughter has gained a lot of phonic knowledge too.

She is very flexible when I have to change a day for pick up or drop off, she at times has gone out of her way to always make it possible. She provides a very loving and homely atmosphere that I am very grateful of.

Highly recommended.. 5 stars

Jenny has been childminding my son D (6 months) since January 2015 till date. She looks after him for 5 days a week.
I have been extremely happy with the care D received, and the great progress he has made whilst in J’s care. J’s home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and D has great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care .She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise.
Jenny is a great communicator and has no trouble in gaining J’s confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home.
Jenny provides healthy snacks such as fruit and rice cakes for D. She also completes a diary detailing what D has done each day. From this I have a complete picture of his whole day including what he has eaten, how long he has slept and all his activities for the day.
All in all I am thoroughly happy with the level of care D receives and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping him develop into a confident and self-assured little boy.
I would absolutely recommend Jenny as a great and reliable childminder.

Highly recommended!

Before my son started school last September, me and my partner were very reluctant at what to do in terms of afterschool arrangements. However, meeting Jenny and seeing our son so set in her childcare environment, felt like a weight had lifted off my shoulders. Jenny provides so much for all the children in her care and you can clearly see the passion she has for every child that steps through her door. I am extremely pleased with the provision she provides for my son and I would recommend her to anyone who is in the Trafford area.

Highly recommended..

Jenny picks up my son from St Ann's and has been doing so since he started nursery there in Sep 2015. We were worried about the transition into school and with a new childminder however he settled into Jenny's well before he settled at school. Jenny is very loving and thinks up really creative educational activities to do with the children she looks after. She also fills their schedule with activities and trips out. My son adores Jenny and always comes home full of stories about their time together. I would highly recommend Jenny to anyone looking for a childminder.

Brilliant!

Jenny has looked after my grandson for over 2 years. He is treated as one of the family and is made to feel loved, secure and welcome. Jenny always has time for him and understands that he likes to be active, taking him to the park and on many outings, despite being exhausted herself some of the time. I highly recommend her.
