I'm a married mum of two boys, aged 15 & 18yrs. We also have a lovely, gentle, crazy doodle dog. Graded by Ofsted as 'Good' with outstanding features. I am provide a warm caring environment, with a balanced professional approach. My values are to provide children with a sound foundation for future education through fun, strong attachments, and parental involvement. Worked in the childcare sector for 33 years, 15 years as a childminder.
My Experience
Caring for babies, toddlers & pre-school children for 32 years, 15 years as a childminder and 17 in private day care & education sector.
I have extensive EYFS knowledge (Early Years Foundation Stage) and use electronic software to keep you actively involved in your child's care and education.
I have Special Educational Needs & disability experience, as well as caring for my own children I have experience of babies from 6 weeks old. Reviews available on Childcare UK platform, and testimonials available on request.
My Qualifications
Qualified to Level 6. Bachelors degree in Education, Culture & Society. Foundation degree in Early Childcare & Education. NNEB, and CACHE Level 4.
I have a Paediatric First Aid Certificate, (including sports injury & concussion awareness training). Safeguarding Children Certificate, Food Hygiene, EYFS training, Special Education Needs & Disability, safeguarding, vulnerability of babies, safe sleeping, keeping children safe online, and other short courses
My Availability
Expected availability April 2026.
TERM-TIME ONLY, WOULD SUIT TEACHERS/SCHOOL SUPPORT STAFF AS NO CHARGE OR RETAINER FOR SCHOOL HOLIDAYS.
I work from 7:30- 5:00 Monday-Thursday School term time only. No Bank holidays or weekends.
I am registered to offer 15/30 hrs funded places for 9months-4-year-olds.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Fees are available for a daily rate, not just hourly rates. I am registered to take payment through various Childcare Voucher schemes. Registered for tax free childcare. Funded 15 / 30 hrs for eligible 2 year olds, and 3 & 4 year olds.If your interested in a place please feel free to message me for fees.

Paula is just amazing!
My son settled so quickly and is always happy to go. Aswell as having lots of fun with the children Paula teaches them so many things. My son loves to tell me all about his day; from trips to the park or taking the dog out , to painting pictures and learning lots of new skills. Paula also keeps me updated with regular pictures and daily notes via an app.
I can not recommend Paula enough, we will really miss her when my son goes to school.

Paula has cared for all 3 of my children from being 6 months old. She genuinely feels like part of our family- my children love her and love going to her home. I am so thankful I found Paula on here and would 100% recommend her to anyone.
Paula is fantastic with the kids, she plans structured play, educational tasks, exercise etc into the day as well as having good fun with the kids. My children have come on so well with her , and she is great at working together with parents on things like toilet training , rewards etc. Paula is the most organised person I’ve ever met! And in the 5 years my kids have been going I have never been let down by her- she is reliable but most importantly really loves and cares about the kids.

Paula is a fantastic childminder and I would highly recommend her.
She has looked after our little boy from 6 months old, he is now nearly 5!!
He loves going to Paula's and always comes home having had a great adventure, be that just in her home/garden or out and about.
He has thrived here at Paula's both academically and socially. She is really great at picking up on children's different interests and developing it into fun learning, games and exploring.
We are going to miss Paula when he starts school in September but what a great start to his learning journey so far.
Cannot thank her enough.

My 2 children have both been cared for by Paula and I can't rate her highly enough. She has a no nonsense approach but the children adore her. She offers a huge range of activities and often takes them out. She communicates really well and is flexible wherever she can be. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. My 2 have come on leaps and bounds

I can't recommend Paula enough! She's absolutely brilliant with my little one (7 months) who I was initially worried about leaving with a childminder for the first time as he is very demanding and cries a lot! I've since noticed a positive change in my son. He's settled and all smiles and has grown quite fond of her. She keeps me updated throughout the day and sends pictures which I really appreciate! She's been extremely flexible with days/times. Just wish we could see her more often as I'm so pleased with the progress my son has made. I'm expecting my second in October and would not hesitate to use her again. So thankful to this lady!
