My Experience

I am a mum, so that has definitely given me much more experience and confidence when taking care of children!

Babysitter 2013 - 2014
I regularly looked after two delightful young children (one baby and one toddler) keeping them occupied with reading stories, building Lego, puzzles and other fun games. I gave them dinner, prepared milk for the baby and put them to bed.

Baby sitter December 2012 - May 2013
I started babysitting for a lovely family in December when it was only there 5 year old son. Since January they have had another addition to their family; a baby girl who I look after also.
I baby sit the 8 week old baby girl and her 5 year old brother, during the day and in the evenings when needed.
When I baby sit in the evening I give the 5 year old a bath, read him a story then tuck him into bed. I then take care of the baby, giving cuddles, feeding, changing and putting to bed; feeding her every 3 hours.


Baby sitter October 2010 – December 2010
I regularly baby sat two lovely little boys aged 14 months and 3 years old. They were usually put to bed when I had arrived. If they woke up in the night I would bring them downstairs and occupy and play with them till their parents returned.


Baby sitter November 2010 – December 2010 I took care of a 3 month old baby girl whilst her mother was at university. I would take care of her for a few hours a week taking her to the library in to town or for walks in her pushchair. I would take her back to her mother when needed as she was breast fed; then take her again.


Part-time nanny June 2010 - July 2010
Looking after very lovely, energetic two year old twins! getting them dressed in the mornings, taking them to playgroups and parks, feeding them lunch and dinner, doing activities such as painting, drawing, reading and outdoor play, light housework such as the childrens laundry and clearing up after them.


Part-time Nanny April 2008 -September 2008
I worked with a family as a part time nanny looking after a little baby from the age of 2 months to 8 months. I had sole charge of him and I started work from 9am and finished at 3.30pm from Monday to Wednesday. I really enjoyed looking after him as we had a routine which I would follow, it was great to see him grow up and he was a pleasure to be with! I bathed, changed and made up his milk bottles. I helped with weaning him onto solids; I made healthy foods which I blended and mashed for him. Throughout the day I would play with him and sing to him. I did light housework such as making sure his room was clean and tidy, clearing away toys and general tidying.


Mothers help March 2008 - August 2009
I helped look after my nephew from new born to 17 months as he was living with me. I played a very active role whilst he was growing up I learnt how to take care of a new born baby, I did night and day feeds, helped wean him on to solid food and with his overall development. I still love to look after him now as he is 5 years old and a lot of fun to be around! We play with his Lego bricks building cars, reading stories and playing football at the park.


Baby sitter February 2008 – present (occasional)
I have babysat and looked after a little girl from the age of 14 months and she is now 6 years old. I still look after her now at times when I am needed to baby sit.
I take her to the park, make healthy meals, do bath times and bed times, read stories and light house work such as clearing up toys, cleaning her bedroom and clearing up after mealtimes. She is great fun to be around as she loves doing girly things such as dancing and putting on nail polish, which is also fun for me!


One World Day Nursery September 2008 – December 2008 /October 2007 – February 2008

Broadfield Day Nursery June 2006
Within my role as a Nursery assistant my job was to interact with the children whilst they did activities such as reading, and drawing. We did arts and crafts such as finger painting, making masks, cutting and sticking. With the babies I did soft play, sung nursery rhymes and did sensory play. I supervised them and helped prepare healthy meals. I also assisted the nursery staff by working together with them to help with their day-to-day routines e.g. preparing activities for the children to do, preparing the children’s work for parents evening, typing out newsletters etc. and meeting and greeting the children’s parents.

My Qualifications

I have achieved Level 3 in Business and Administration Management, 10 GCSE’s (A* - C)
I have completed my Paediatric First Aid Training
I have a full clean driving Licence

My Availability

I am available for babysitting evenings and week ends, at short notice. Travelling to different locations is not a problem.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

My fees are £10.00 per hour for up to 2 children and I am able to negotiate.
