About Me
Graded Outstanding. Stopsley Village location. My aim is to keep your child ‘safe and sound’- helping them learn as I make the subject ‘come alive’ with the awe and wonder of the world about us.
For example, when covering the topic of mini beasts, I will order live caterpillars and the children watch them grow and change. We feed the butterflies when they emerge and finally, on a sunny day, set them free – in my butterfly friendly garden. We visit a butterfly house to see the different types of chrysalides and larger species of butterfly.
Many crafts are taken outside – we painted bear masks whilst visiting the bears at the zoo. In the spring, using glue and tissue paper, and sitting near a blossom tree in full bloom, we made our own blossom tree picture and we watched the bees hover around it. We talked about those bees making honey -then sat down to try our honey sandwiches.
Children will spend many years inside a classroom so while they’re young and can explore, I take them on a journey of discovery.

I have all relevant insurance, DBS checked and am first aid trained. All certificates are available to see, along with all training certificates, driving licenses, vehicle insurances etc. I welcome any questions you may have.

I worked within a school setting and then began my childcare business in January 2012. I have cared for children in every year group from under 1 through to aged 11.
My Qualifications
Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (Previously known as NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant)
I'm First Aid trained with Adrenalin Auto Injector Training.

I attend regular teaching training and webinars. I have attended courses covering Child Development, Dental Care, Nutrition and many more. All certificates are available for you to view.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My vehicle is covered by business insurance with age appropriate car seats fitted.
My core hours are from 8.00am - 4.30 pm.
My charge is from £7 per hour. Funding is applied and rate is reduced by Tax Free allowances.

I had worked in childcare for many years before needing to find a childminder and I didn’t realise how scary it was for a parent. From the minute I met Lorayne I had nothing to worry about. My daughter was with Lorayne for 2 1/2 years.
The only way to describe Lorayne is amazing! She has so much knowledge about children’s development and needs and always puts them first. My daughter got to have the best experiences with Lorayne, whether it was trips out in the magic bus or activities planned at home. And the fact she had so much fun meant it took away the guilt of having to go work.
Lorayne will always take the time to discuss your child’s progress or any thing you want to talk about. My main concern when leaving my daughter in any childcare is that she is safe, cared for and happy and being with Lorayne she was all of these and so much more.
I also can’t write a review with out mentioning ken, who’s always there to be silly with!
I honestly can’t recommend Lorayne enough and I am just so grateful that she has been a part of mine and my daughters lives and I’m so thankful to Lorayne in helping shape my daughter into who she is today
