Hi my name is Amy.

I am currently in the process of becoming an ofsted registered childminder.

I have been surrounded by children from a young age both personally and professionally. I have many nephews, nieces, cousins and siblings which i have regularly looked after as well as regular babysitting for friends. In my professional work I have worked with vulnerable families both as a family support worker but also in my previous role of running play and leisure sessions and overnight breaks for children and young people with learning and physical disabilities.

Why do i do what I do? because I love working with people, I enjoy getting to know each child individually and playing and enjoying spending time with them. It's when you get the smile and from a child or young person who is non-verbal that you know your doing something right. It is important to me in my role that the children and young people that I care for are cared for in a way that they would expect when they are at home with their families.

I am a smiley and happy person who isn't afraid of rolling around on the floor playing and being silly. I am enthusiastic, reliable and trustworthy and I would like to think that when families are leaving their children in my care that they know they will be well looked after.
