Hi, I’m Mandy. I am a qualified, Ofsted registered and fully insured Childminder. I hold a current paediatric first aid certificate.
I live on the Cronton View estate in Widnes with my husband Alex, who is a Fire Officer, and 2 children, Alfie (19) and Emily (17) I work from my home, which is a 4 bed detached house with a separate playroom and large enclosed garden. The children are encouraged to access all downstairs rooms as toys and activities are available through the house.
As a parent I understand how hard it can be to find a good childcare provider, one that you trust to do the best for your child, and one that is able to fit in with your needs and requests.
I will give your little ones the individual care and attention that they need and deserve, and I aim to be as flexible as possible around the routine they are already used to at home. I provide a warm, happy, loving and homely environment, good home cooked meals and healthy snacks and drinks. I aim to provide an excellent service for you and your children, to make a positive difference in their, and your lives.
The activities your little ones will be doing in my care have all been chosen to develop their skills and confidence, whilst providing a great amount of fun and plenty of smiles and giggles! I will use observations and informal assessments to note progress and to plan the 'next steps' ensuring all areas of learning and development areas detailed in the EYFS guidelines are covered through a play based curriculum.
We play with playdoh and get messy with gloop, paint, sing songs, make music and dance. Learn to recognise numbers, letters and explore many many books. Make friends and learn about caring, sharing and differences. We talk about hygiene and make healthy eating lots of fun! Bake lots of yummy things... some to take home for Mummy & Daddy to test too! We visit parks, play centres, libraries, museums, the zoo, safari park, and the local Police and Fire Stations. We investigate the outdoors, use our imaginations through role play and dressing up and learn about taking time to rest by snuggling up for story and talk time.
Each child is an individual and will already have their own interests and preferences. I will follow and encourage these interests with special activities, either for the whole group or individual child.

I registered as a Childminder early in 2012 and I have plenty of experience with children including 19+ years of being a Mum!

Mandy has been such an amazing childminder. She had my daughter when she was tot and now she has my 2 year old son. She does so many fun activities and is so kind and loving with the kids. My kids adore her. The communication is amazing and she goes beyond any care expectations. We are so glad we have had the privilege to have our children in her setting.

Since starting with Mandy in September 2015 my daughter has developed amazingly. She attends four days a week and I can honestly say she is so excited every morning when we leave for Mandy's.
On her latest review with the health visitor they commented on her advanced social skill and also on how advanced she was in every aspect of her development. Mandy provides a very secure, loving, family environment and plenty of updates and photos throughout the day to keep me updated with my little girls activitys.
Every aspect of my little girls care with Mandy is first class and I couldn't ask for a better environment for her to learn and develop in. I could not recommend Mandy's childminding service highly enough.

As a first time mum going back to my full time job when my daughter was only five months old it was extremly daunting. From the very first settling in session which I was invited to stay at both me and my little girl Evie were made to feel so welcome by all of the family. By the middle of the second session I felt happy enough to leave Evie with Mandy for a couple of hours, something I hadnt really done at all yet.
I now drop Evie off for three full days a week and am on the wait list for a forth. I always leave her to smiles and laughter and she cant wait to go and socialise with her little friends that she has bonded with since she started. Despite the age gap between Evie and the older children Mandy ensures all of the activitys are tailored to everyones needs. Evie has developed amazing social skills already through her time spent with the other children and her regular visits to a local play group.
Mandy ensures evie's routine is stuck to each day and completes an activity book that details what she has been doing each day which always makes me smile after a long day!! I could not ask for a safer, more friendly and loving place for my daughter to be whilst i am at work and I cant recommend Mandy's service highly enough. Thank you Mandy

Mandy has been looking after my daughter, Aimee (4), since last September, and we simply can't speak highly enough about Mandy and the service and care she provides.
Aimee attended preschool for morning sessions and we needed a childminder that could collect her afterwards: Mandy was so flexible and worked around our needs, being able to collect Aimee from preschool and caring for her until 5pm, later at times if required.
Aimee loved going to Mandy's because of her very tasty and healthy lunches and the variety of activities and trips out she provided; from baking cakes and painting pictures to playing in the park and going to play centres. Aimee thoroughly enjoyed her afternoons with Mandy and the other children.
As a mother, I felt so confident and assured that Aimee was in very safe hands and being cared for as if one of Mandy's own children. We never really felt that Aimee was going to a childminder, but more like to a family friend. Aimee was so sad to leave Mandy's, as she starts school next week, but we look forward to my son taking her place in the coming months! I strongly recommend Mandy to anyone looking for a childminder: she is great, flexible, reliable, fun and very caring.

Mandy has been looking after my little girl for the last 7 months and we are so pleased with everything she does. My daughter absolutely loves going to her house and her family are lovely.
Mandy provides a wide range of activities including play groups, painting, baking etc. She provides home cooked meals and tries to keep to my daughters routine as much as possible.
She is really flexible to accommodate my working hours which change from time to time.
I am so pleased that I chose her over a nursery setting for my daughter as I feel that she provides a much more personal service but my daughter still gets to mix with other kids.
She is fantastic at her job and I can highly recommend her.
