For starters, she refused to provide meals for my baby, yet later found out she was providing meals for the other children.Then refused us completely, lied and said it was because the times didn't work with her schedule, i said i was willing to work with her schedule and she ignored me. When we spoke over the phone prior to meeting, there was no indication that my times would be an issue, she was very kind, welcoming and eager to take him over the phone. In person she was cold, unwelcoming, made it seem like WE were the ones being interviewed rather than her being the one interviewed and checked out by us. She also wasn’t willing to shake my hand and said it was due to covid but, was willing to pick my baby up and shake my partners hand (my partner who is white.) immediately after that meeting she texted to say she would not be willing to look after him. I was kind, respectful, willing to work with all of her “terms” happy to provide our own meals (even though everyone told me this was a lazy cop out) she refused and had every excuse in the book.
She also made a comment about how my son (who just turned 1) should be walking by now and suggested that there was something medically wrong with him, i politely told her he is perfectly healthy and she made a screw face. She should not work with children.
