About Me
My aim is to provide children with a home from home and to provide a range of fun and stimulating activities including singing, cooking, arts and crafts physical activities with lots of fresh air, reading, games and lots, lots more!
My name is Sallie Chambers and I live in St Albans with my husband, Marc, and our 2 daughters.
We live in the east of St Albans and ideally located for access to local parks and the Alban Way for nature walks.
My Experience
I was registered as a childminder in December 2011 and my last Ofsted grading was “Good'.
My Qualifications
I passed my CYPOP 5 in December 2010;
I have passed a Paediatric first aid course;
Marc and I have both had enhanced Criminal Bureau checks (CRB) and I have passed a health check;
I am fully insured and a member of the National Childminding Association (NCMA).

Our son has been going to Sallies house for over three years now and we couldn’t ask for more, he loves it and Sallie always keeps us updated on his progress and how he’s getting on. We bumped into another parent in the park who called the kids ‘Sallies crew’ which is so true it’s like a little crew there.

Sallie came to the rescue for us when our childminder went on holiday for two weeks and offered to care for our 10 month old boy. From day one he settled in taking naps, eating well and enjoying the activities with Sallie and the other children. He came home so happy and chirpy that we decided to switch so he could continue with Sallie.
She’s been wonderful in communicating about our sons day and his activities. I’ve felt extremely reassured that he’s in safe hands and having a lot of fun. I’ve seen how his development is coming on in leaps and bounds from being around older children. It’s been a wonderful experience and I’m very sad to be moving as our son will really miss Sallie and her team.

Our toddler has been with Sallie a few days a week for more than a year now and he loves it there. She offers a wide range of fun activities and always sends great update messages at the end of each day so we know what he's been up to. She adapts his meals to be vegetarian and has been really flexible around periods of sickness or having a new baby. We are confident that our son is well cared for and nurtured and count ourselves lucky to have found her

Sally has been my son's childminder from when he was just a year old. She provided a nurturing, home from home environment which has enabled him to thrive and develop into a chatty and confident little boy. As well as activities at home Sally regularly takes the children out and provides a huge variety of activities in all weathers.
Sally has consistently provided nutritious meals and has worked with me to ensure my son was well fed and happy at all times (especially during his fussy phases!).
As well as a daily summary of his activities, I have received constant feedback on his develop and recommendations of activities to do with him at home to help him thrive further.
I have had peace of mind that my son has been very well cared for - I have no hesitation in recommending Sally.

My son has been with Sallie for the past 9 months and is really happy there. Sallie is lovely and welcoming and always makes my son feel at home. I really recommend her!
