About Me
my setting is based in my three bedroom house with large garden and playroom. I operate five days a week 7am to 7pm mon to fri. i am located within walking distance of shops, toddler groups,music groups, parks and many more interesting places, also help run a toddler group twice a week. i live with my husband, nigel and three children, sam 22 dale 18 and louise 13. i am nvq 2 and 3 qualified with over 20 years experience of working with children. i provide fresh home cooked meals incorporatig each childs individual needs and tastes. I am able to provide excellent references. I offer the best range of care in a safe, fun, environment.
My Experience
At the end of the day, i enjoy seeing children grow up in a happy environment. It gives me a great feeling to watch children achieve the things that i have taught them through their early stages in life. Having 3 children of my own, I know all about the toughness and the traumas that children go through, getting frustrated and feeliing that they are unable to achieve. Hopefully i can guide them on the path,to make them feel comfortable around other children and not feel left out in activities. And also get friendships along the way

Karen is part of our family, my son treats her like a second mother, he often comes home tired but delighted, in the morning he can't wait to meet other children. my son is happy in her house, he is delighted with toys, games and dancing. I am happy because I always get feedback about the progress in his development. She often checks the children's temperature, makes sure that the children eat enough, that they have naps at the same times. every day she takes the children somewhere, either to a playgroup or to the park or to the playground. I'm happy we found Karen and my son loves her 🥰

Karen has been our son Jack's childminder since he was 7 weeks old. It was very tough having to return to full time work and feel I may be missing out or that our son would not think of us as mum and dad, but Karen as mum and dad. This could not be further from the truth. Karen was part of Jack's life and shared with us his developments, with photo's, a daily diary and messages. She has cared for him through his ups and downs and helped developed his skills as he has grown. At the same time, ensured he knew who we were and we all shared in the caring.
Karen is very active and Jack has an amazing variety of activities each week, with plenty of 'chill' time when he just wants to 'be'. He has developed his social skills, confidence and awareness of his surroundings while with Karen. If he has taken ill, as happens with all children she would call and we could work out the best thing to do. She has been so flexible with us and our commutes and travel for work and helping us out when we got into a challenge where we needed someone to care for Jack out of hours. Karen's family are a loving environment for Jack to be with.
I can't recommend Karen enough if you are looking for a place for your baby/child to grow, be active, learn and have a wonderful fun time. I only wish we could take her and her family with us.
