About Me
My name is Lisa and I am a Ofsted registered child minder, I live with my husband Keith and our two children James (23) and Katie (21)
Me, my husband my son and daughter are all CRB/DBS checked, and i am a member of PACEY.
I have a child carer/paediatric first aid certificate which is updated every three years according to my registration and hold a clean driving licence.
We live in a quiet road at the edge of Houghton Regis, near a local based primary school, we have lived here for 25years. We are close to the new linmere development and primary schools
I like reading, gardening, crafting, cooking and baking, spending time with the family and our pet bearded dragons, and guinea pig.
We also have a Labrador called Angel who has been raised around children, she has been with all the children since 10 weeks old and is now six years old and the children love her.
Activities will be organised such as play-doh, painting, baking, crafts, puzzles, toys and sharing books together, trips to the park, library, toddler groups as well as playing outside in the garden. Outings will be also organised to woods, zoo, library, indoor playgrounds and farms.
All parents are welcome to view my planning file, which has a daily routine and also a monthly and yearly planner of themes and occasions throughout the year.
I offer Healthy cooked meals and snacks.
I am happy to liaise with parents to provide vegetarian or special diets if required.
I work towards the E.Y.F.S.
My Ofsted inspection in June 2014 was a GOOD
My inspection in March 2018 was a GOOD
And my recent inspection in March 2023 was a GOOD
I currently drop and collect from tithe farm primary school.
My Experience
I spent 4 years as a lunchtime supervisor at Thorn hill primary School where both my children attended when they was young.
Before this I was a lunchtime supervisor in a special needs school, and did occasionally do relief work to cover teaching assistants when they were on holiday or of sick. So have some experience with special needs.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered, first aid qualified in early years, and a member of PACEY.
Have worked with children in a local based primary school and previous experience working with special needs.
In addition I regularly attend any training courses that will help my setting run more efficient and to update my knowledge. I attend regular training for:

My Availability
My opening hours are:
7.00 am -6.00 pm ( Monday - Friday )
Hours can be negotiated to suit parents needs if needed and available
Bank holidays i am closed
I am open to be flexible and this can be discussed.
As well as covering full time contracts,I can do Short term contracts or emergency cover, as well as provide care in the school holidays.
I cover for other child minders when they are on holiday or of sick dependent on space

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I currently charge £5.00 per hour per child ( Monday - Friday) over 20 hour contracts
Contracts under 20 hours a week are at £6.00 an hour
I am happy to accept childcare vouchers if parents wish to pay with them as long as I have registered with the companies they use. I am currently with Eden red vouchers.
I use the tax free childcare for payments or payments can be set up via bank transfer.
I am registered to do the 15 and 30 hours funding but not all places are funded, only limited spaces, feel free to e mail me to see if a space available

My daughter has attended this childminder since October. She has settled in very well and Lisa always communicates with me regarding my daughter. Setting is very clean, activities are always taking place which my daughter really enjoys. Trips to library, zoo and parks also take place. My daughter enjoys her meals at lisa’s too. Would highly recommend

After having a bad experience with the first childminder we tried, we were so relieved when we met Lisa. From the minute we first met her we knew it was the right fit for Hugo. He was instantly at home and Lisa’s flexible, caring and supportive approach ticked all the boxes.
Hugo is so happy in the setting and has developed so much in such a short space of time.
I can’t recommend Lisa enough. She is an incredible childminder!

Hugo has settled well and become part of the group here making new friends along the way.
We look forward to making more memories and having fun
Our son has been with Lisa for 7 weeks and he has excelled in so many areas. He is always happy and talkative. We are given updates daily on what they have been up to and where they have been which is lovely to see. I couldn’t fault the care he receives. I would recommend Lisa to any parents looking for a childminder.

Clark has settled quickly, he is cheeky and happy and has made new friends here.
We have lots of fun and have more memories to make :)
Lisa’s setting is more like home although with the right level of structure. Both children have been with her since 5months old. Eldest has been with her for 4 years+ and both love going. They are always kept busy with activities, days out, picnics, free play, crafts - you name it, they do it! Both have made friends with other children in the setting. Lisa keeps us well informed about their days, progress and I love getting pictures of what they’re up to. Couldn’t recommend Lisa enough, very highly thought of by both children.

Lisa has now looked after 2 of our children over the period of 6 years. We have been so lucky to have found her! She has looked after our children very well and we could go to work knowing that we don’t need to worry about our children as they are in great hands. Lisa is very enthusiastic about her work and full of ideas to stimulate them and encourage their development. She is very reliable and flexible. She is an awesome childminder and definitely highly recommended.
