Hi, my name is Emma and I am an experienced and L3 childcare qualified practitioner now living in Dorset, having moved to the area last year.
I have worked in various settings as a nanny, nursery nurse and playgroup facilitator, and am also a qualified dance teacher with 14 years of teaching experience.
I have in recent history been undertaking part time nannying for a lovely family in Gloucetershire who have a 2 year old and a 4 year old all day every Saturday.
I am available for weekend, evening, overnight and last minute/emergency childcare in the dorset area.
I am a very loving, family orientated person that puts high priority on children's mental health and happiness in addition to ensuring they experience a variety if activities and learning opportunities. (Ie. Tv is limited and day trips or being out in the great outdoors are the norm).
I love working with children and am happy to take the role of housekeeper whilst children are at school/nursery/in bed etc.
I hold an enhanced DBS check which can be checked on the online platform, and have a full clean driving license. I hold past safeguarding certificates and paediatric first aid certificates although these are due for renewal.
My Experience
Previous roles include:
5 years as a L3 qualified childcare practitioner at Upton Pre-School in Gloucester.
Private Nanny to a family who have 5 children (3 of which were under my care - others school age). I have the pleasure of looking after the 6 month old twins and their 2 year old sister.
Baby room practitioner at The Old Station Nursery in Churchdown and during my time there I completed my level 3 qualification in childcare.
Nanny to a family in Cheltenham with sole charge of their little boy who was 18 months through to 2 and a half years old during my time with them. In addition to working with them at their home, i went abroad with them to look after their son while they were in their holiday villa.
14 years of teaching in a private dance school and delivering additional workshops with the everyman theatre, gloscollege, government funded programmes for after school dance classes for under-privilaged children.
I am a fully qualified dance teacher with the BBO (British Ballet Organisation).

I hold a distinction in Level 5 Diploma in Teaching of Dance

My Availability
Evenings, overnight, weekends with potential for occasional daytimes in summer holidays if booked ahead. Emergency/last-minute nannying and babysitting possible.
