My Experience
Since becoming a parent and working as a childminder.I have learnt so much and can confidently say I have plenty of hands on experience raising children in a stimulating yet fun environment.I ensure my facilties offer exactly this so my indoor facilities are bright and colourful with areas dedicated to playing, sleeping, eating & other fun activities as well as a vast selection of toys. Equally important is our secure outdoor play area with a selection of play equipment which enables the children to develop a positive sense of well being.I frequently explore Lyme Park and Astbury mere.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards for Learning, Development and Care for children from birth to five years. Following the EYFS guide I plan weekly activities so the children can develop and learn their skills through indoor & outdoor play e.g. free-play, art, reading, cooking, singing, dancing, gardening and many other fun activities. These activities cover the Seven areas of Learning and Development below which lay secure foundations from birth for future learning:
Three Prime Areas
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Physical Development
Communication and Language
The Four Specific Areas
Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the World
Art and Design
I undertake regular observations to identify learning priorities and plan great learning experiences for each child.I also keep ongoing assessment records for each child so I can monitor your child's interests, learning styles, achievements and progress. Ultimately the children learn through play and there is nothing more rewarding than watching them grow and blossom into amazing little human beings.

I highly recommend Jacqui if you are looking for childcare for your precious baby’s.
Like many other parents I was extremely anxious about being apart from my little girl when I had to return to work however Jaqui immediately made feel at ease. I knew she would look after my daughter as if she was her own. Every morning Sophie lunges for Jaqui when I walk through the door, my little girl adores her.
The environment Jaqui creates for the children is clean, caring, and full of fun. Sophie loves playing with all the children and her development has come on leaps and bounds since she has been attending. Furthermore Sophie has had a few minor medical issues and dietary restrictions from birth, Jaqui has always communicated brilliantly with me regarding these matters to make sure she has everything she needs.
My job can be very demanding and I honestly don’t think I could have returned to work without the support Jaqui gives me by providing outstanding childcare for my daughter. The wonderful photo updates of the many activities she does with Sophie get me through the day.
Thank you for everything you do for my little girl.
I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Jacqui. She has created a warm and caring environment that truly feels like a home away from home for our son. From the moment we first met her, we were impressed by her positive attitude and genuine love for children.
One of the things that sets Jacqui apart is her ability to make us feel at ease when leaving our son in her care. She is incredibly skilled at what she does, and it is evident that she is passionate about providing the best possible care for the children under her watch. I always feel confident that my son is in good hands when he is with her.
What truly impresses me is Jacqui’s dedication to providing enriching experiences for the children, she takes them out to various places to explore, learn, and play, it’s wonderful to see how she encourages their curiosity and helps them discover the world around them in a safe and nurturing way.
In summary, Jacqui is a gem of a childminder who goes above and beyond to create a loving and stimulating environment for the children in her care. I wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent looking for a trustworthy and dedicated childminder.
My daughter has attended Jacqui's for almost two years and loves it. She goes three days a week to Jacqui and two days to nursery (as Jacqui doesn't offer Fridays). My daughter (now age 3) much prefers Jacqui's to nursery. She really enjoys herself and often really doesn't want to leave. Jacqui is very caring and looks after the kids well. She has brilliant resources and takes them out most days on walks, to the park or to other local activities such as soft play, the zoo or farms. She has taken them to special events like the fire station and an animal handling experience at a local school. She is always finding fun things for them to do. Jacqui was very helpful in potty training my daughter (something the nursery struggled with due to a larger number of kids to look after I suspect). Jacqui does the learning developmental checks too and will ensure my little one is on track with things such as counting and colour recognition - she gave me the relevant development check forms to share with the health visitor when she had her reviews.
My main concern with having a childminder over full-time nursery was that she could be off sick leaving me with no childcare but in two years I can't remember one day where Jacqui was sick or cancelled so she is very reliable. My daughter also eats well at Jacqui's but doesn't like nursery food.
I also think it's important to comment on the only negative review left here by a parent of a boy who my daughter has enjoyed playing with at Jacqui's for well over a year - although I can't refute her words as they are hers to write, the experience in the one negative review is absolutely NOT what I have found and some of it I just don't see how it is even possible.
I trust her with the most important person in the world to me and I would really recommend Jacqui's - I have, my close friend now brings her son to Jacquie's too and my best friend's daughter is on the waiting list!
I'm so upset with our experience with Jacqueline. I had 2 children attend my son would protest going in the morning and would just get nothing out of it, he would tell me he would need to be quiet most of the time when the babies slept and would watch too much tv. My son was not allowed water bottle inside the cabin on a hot day even though the cabin was so hot, as it was on the carpet (a silly rule expecting 1-4 yr olds to follow).
My daughter who is 1 attended for 3 days before Jacqueline decided she was too hard to settle. We paid over £2000 for her too attend and no refunds, Jacqueline said it was not the right setting for her but in reality she was not settling her well, sending me distressing pictures of her crying and telling me how the neighbour aggressivley knocked on telling her to "shut that kid up" meaning my baby. I told Jacqueline not to put my baby in a highchair as she does this and its common practice for Jacqueline to put the babies to be out of the way in the cabin when the toddlers are playing. My daughter hates highchairs but she was sending me pictures of her in a highchair outside. She also has artifical grass outside which my children would come home stinking of dog urine as they have cats and dogs, many clothes were thrown away. When she gave me notice after 3 days on my daughter I explained I was thousands out of pocket with no childcare and I would need to take my son out too to find childcare together. Therefore I did not pay her for the following month as we would not be using her due to her terminating the contract with my daughter. However she continued to harass me for payment for my son via her solicitor despite taking lots of cash payments for my daughter care she did not recieve via her request. However as my son has a separate contract, she has her "rights" to be paid for him.
I just wish to warn others that I have had a terrible distressing experience with Jacqueline and I hope others do not go through similar. My wishes were never taken into account by Jacqueline despite me stating my son is not allowed tv time she proceeded to put this on most of the day, my son has flare ups on his skin from certain foods I would always need to ask what he's eaten or if he's napped as she would provide a record of communication either. Me and my family are very unsatisfied with our experience!

Thank you for your review, I do always appreciate feedback at any time , however in this instance perhaps prior to leaving may have been more beneficial to discuss any issues you were not happy about.
I would like to respond to the issues you have raised.
Your son was very happy in my care for the last 2.5 years and would usually protest when it was time to go home ,we did lots of different activities throughout the day and enjoyed days out .
Water is always readily available for all the children to drink throughout the day
, we do watch television but only to watch educational programs regarding topics that we are interested in and television is limited.
As for you daughter, unfortunately she would not settle and would get very upset throughout day , the amount of money that you paid was due to you changing the start date from April to July , which left me £1500 out of pocket due to me keeping the place open for you both .
As for the putting your daughter in a high chair, that is the safest place to feed a 1-year-old .
The artificial grass gets treated every night with artificial grass cleaner, I have had no problems before and no complaints from any of the parents, not even you until now , you have never told me about this and definitely never mentioned anything about dirty clothes.
I also never gave you 3 days' notice, as you know my policies state a month’s notice to any changes in the contract or termination.
I will miss your children and I hope they will settle happily in their next setting.
I hope these responses rectify your concerns
My son started at Kidz Cabin when he was 14 months old and was with Jaquie until just before his 4th birthday when he started at his feeder pre-school.
As a Mum of 2 who's first child was looked after by family I was nervous about leaving my baby. After day one I knew I had nothing to worry about, he was in the best care and having the time of his little life.
The setting is homely and friendly. The care is exceptional, Jaquie has a place in her heart for all the children and she genuinely cares for each and every one of them.
When my son started Pre-school just before his 4th birthday the school were blown away by the level of detail and information I was able to pass over in respect of his Early Years progress. Jacquie keeps a fantastic record of progress for each child and not only do they have fun learning but it is great to be able to pass on the record to future settings so they can quickly gauge where they are up to with their development milestones.
Jaquie and Neil were not just carers for my son, they became family friends, that is how they make everyone feel in their wonderful welcoming environment. I couldn't reccomend Kidz Cabin highly enough and while we miss our time there we have wonderful memories of the experience.
Simply the best x
