About Me
I'm an ofsted registered childminder providing care for pre-school aged children on a term-time only basis. I live in Mytchett with my husband, our 4 children and our dog Betsy. We have a large house with playroom and fully enclosed rear garden. We like to get out and about each day, going on lots of walks and outings. I live in a great location with lots of parks, the canal and the woods all in walking distance. The children have lots of opportunities for socialising too, as we regularly meet up with other local childminders.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience as a parent to my own children and my now grown up step-daughter and I have been working as a registered childminder now for 12 years. I have lots of lovely references available on request

My son has a great time with Gemma. She's very accommodating, takes the kids on a lovely variety of outings, has a brilliant setup with lots of different activities and frequent updates for me.

My son was born during COVID and therefore didn’t socialise as much as we would have hoped during the first year of his life. When my son turned 1 and I returned to work I was so nervous about leaving him. Fortunately, we found Gemma and I knew we were in capable hands. Gemma is so gentle and kind, she has a lot of patience and made sure our son felt safe and happy. We had settling in sessions to build up his confidence. Gemma has a lovely set up at home, with plenty of space to play and explore. We have weekly updates and pictures of stimulating activities he has participated in. He has thrived and learnt may new skills. Communication is good and Gemma is very reliable.
We highly recommend.

My little boy has been going to Gemma since he was 1. With him being a lockdown baby he was very clingy and wanted Mummy, however Gemma was amazing. She was very comforting and took this on board to make him feel at ease. They had lovely walks out in the woods, at the park and met with other childminders and children. Her home is beautifully presented and a is safe play environment with a lovely garden, along with lots of resources to help them learn. My son came home with lovely arts and crafts he had been making, always received lovely photos of his day. He loved his days with Gemma and I honestly cannot recommend her enough.

Gemma is brilliant.
She does lots of different activities with the children and we came home with thoughtful thinga they had made for special occassions.
My daughter loved "Gemma day" and was always excited to go.
My daughter needed extra help with speech and language and Gemma was brilliant about it and happy to help where she could.
She will miss going to Gemmas when she starts nursery.

My son has been going to Gemma for 2 years and absolutely loves it. Gemma is always doing a variety of activities with him and she always keeps me updated on what they have done each day. Could not recommend her enough.

Gemma is warm and friendly. Her home is lovely and well equipped with lots of great toys for the children to play with. My daughter loves the setting and is really happy when she is there.
Gemma provides the children a caring environment for them to play and learn.
I feel very confident with the care Gemma provides and would highly recommend her services.
