About Me
My name is Sian Glynn and I I am a registerd childmider and live in Waterlooville
I offer a home from home setting and I am not a nursery or pre-school, the children in my setting learn through play. I teach them early life skills whilst having fun.
My partner and i have been together for 29 years. We have a 20 year old daughter ( who is available
for babysitting and can provide references) I have been childminding for nearly 15 years
I started out just working one day a week but have ended up now working 4 days a week KEEPING FRIDAYS AS MY DAY OFF
I am fully insured and vary the day to day things we do to keep the children stimulated, occupied and happy
My latest Ofsted inspection and was awarded Good in my grading which is one down from Outstanding . The inspector was very complimentary about my setting .
I will try to help out with working parents as much as possible to make their working life easier as i know what it's like to be a working parent.
We live in a very safe and modern development, within walking distance of parks and woods to play in.
We have a very safe and secure back garden .
We have a very well stocked play room for girls and boys, the toys are steam cleaned and restocked on a regular basis.
I DO NOT OFFER BEFORE OR AFTER SCHOOL CARE AND I DO NOT OFFER SCHOOL RUNS
I have chosen Childminding as I like to offer your child a more personal approach rather than busy nursery.
My main aim to to provide your child with a more caring attitude in an environment which is more 1:1 and nurturing, where they will benefit from my personal approach.
As I have stated,I do not want you to feel your child is 'just another number' to me.
Your child will receive much more of a personal approach in the start of their precious life in a very warm, safe and happy home from home experience.

My Experience
I looked after my friends children for many years during my time as Head Veterinary Nurse in a local veterinary practice.
I then left to Qualifiy as a Beauty Therapist.
At present I have various ages of girls and boys in my care ranging from 12 months to 4 years old.
Having had a baby myself I know how to look after newborn and older children.
Being a parent , I know how I would want my daughter looked after - with care + kindness = happy children !
I have excellent references available .
My Qualifications
I am a Qualified Veterinary Nurse,
Beauty Therapist
Registered Child Minder.
I am fully insured
I have undertaken and passed the peadiactric first aid course .
I have passed the level two in Food Safety.

I have under taken and passed the NVQ level three in Childcare
I am now finished the level 3 in Homebased Child and development .
I am an accredited childminder which means I am able to offer the free 15 /30 hours childcare spaces
I am fully insured

My Availability
I start my working day normally around 7.30am and I tend to finish around 5.00pm
I work in the school holidays or term time only if needed.

My 4 year old has just finished at Sians house after 2 years and we have Sian to thank for making sure he was ready to embark on his new adventure at school.
I was apprehensive at first as we used a nursery for our eldest but this was the best decision we’ve ever made.
Sian creates a ‘home away from home’ environment so the children feel safe and loved but with the structure of a nursery and the added bonus of outside space and outings. It’s the best of both worlds!
I honestly can’t recommend Sian enough, she’s a massive part of what a polite, well mannered young man my son has become.

Couldn’t ask for a better childminder, my little boy loves going and we have seen a massive difference in him since starting with Sian.
Don’t want him to leave but he starts school in September, would recommend Sian to anyone.

Sian has had my son Dylan from 2015 until now, (only left as Dylan wanted to be with his friends at nursery) Dylan was just 8 months when he started with Sian and their relationship is nothing but amazing Dylan dotes on Sian always has. Sian has taken Dylan on many adventures indoors and out. Dylan has always been happy and excited to see Sian in the mornings and his friends, never had any problems. Sian has gone above and beyond with ensuring Dylan's educational needs have been met and this will have a huge impact especially with numeracy, alphabet and learning to write, this has already been mentioned his nursery how advanced he is. I have also made a friend aswell Sian is a lovely lady and your children would be throughouly looked after and loved. I will be back one day 😉

Sian offers a safe,loving environment with the same rules you set at home.
Our daughter loved her from day one and has since gone onto have some amazing experiences with her and her friends she made whilst there.
Our daughter has always been confident and she just blossomed more and more with Sian
We all have lots of happy memories with Sian at her house.

Sian was the first childminder I used for my little boy when I went back to work last year, I was nervous at first but that soon went away as Sian made me and my little boy feel very relaxed and reassured. As time went on I would drop my little boy off and he'd go running in excited to spend the day with Sian which was lovely for me knowing I could go to work and he was happy and comfortable. Sian always got the children to make things for parents including paintings and baking which was always so lovely and appreciated. The only reason I've had to remove my little boy from Sian is due to a job and house move otherwise he would have certainly stayed with her until he started school. Thank you Sian for a great first experience with a childminder just hope I can find another as good.

Sian is an extremely reliable & very professional childminder who has looked after my son on a regular basis for the past 2 & a half years. She has made a positive impact on my son's life and has helped mould him into the child he is today. Her setting is welcoming and safe and my son has an excellent relationship with her.
In addition to this, if it wasn't for Sian's flexibility and understanding nature I would not have been able to go to work.
I have many positive comments about my son's excellent behaviour and good communication skills & this is truly down to Sian's input in my son's upbringing. I would highly recommend her and I will be sad that Jensen will be leaving this year to start school. Thankfully, he has had the very best start to his social, emotional & behavioural development with Sian.

My daughter was 15 months old when she started with Sian, and had never been away from me. I was very nervous when leaving her for the first time, but I needn't have worried. Within a month my little girl was smiling and waving me goodbye! She has already come home with lots of things she has made to hang up in the kitchen! Sian is a natural with children and she is made for the job. Any child will be very lucky to have her looking after them, and I look forward to the next few years of her looking after mine!! Thank you Sian.
