My name is Cathy Morris Im married to Dan of 17 years have 2 children Lily 17 and Liam 13.
I have 27 years experience in childcare and am extremely passionate about childcare provision and I provide a nurturing home.
My aim is to provide children with a happy, healthy, safe, secure respectful home based environment.
I am fully trained childcare professional qualified to the highest level, I have children care and learning development level 4, childrens services quaility standard management level 4, first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding children level 2.
My Experience
27 years working with children, ran local playgroups, managed day nursery for 6 years until I had my 2nd child and decided childminding was the best thing for me and my family
My Qualifications
I am fully trained childcare professional qualified to the highest level, I have children care and learning development level 4, childrens services quaility standard management level 4, first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding children level 2.
My Availability
I am registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales to care for up to 8 children from birth to 12 years. My service is open to all children and families and I may be able to care for children with additional needs.
Routine and play will be at the centre of the child,s learning and development, and a wide range of activities and experiences appropriate to the age and stage of development will be offered.
I provide a range of activities including art and craft, storytelling, singing and musical instruments, role play, construction toys and jigsaws. I also offer a range of adult led activities such as baking and gardening.
I have an outdoor area and children will also be taken to the local park, shops and library on a regular basis in addition to planned trips in school holidays to the beach, farm, zoo etc.
My first language is English and I also practice key words in Welsh. I can drop off and pick up from all the local playgroups and schools such as Westwood, Southdown, Mountain Lane located in Buckley and also schools located in Ewloe, Mynydd Isa and Mold if required. (Arrangements can be made with the schools as required re timetable of dropoffs and pickups).

Cathy is a wonderful childminder who cares for each of the children in her care as individuals. She deeply cares about the children’s well-being. Makes home cooked meals each day and ensures the children have the opportunity to learn and develop appropriate to where they are at developmentally. My daughter tells us she loves Cathy. I know Cathy promotes learning through fun activities like singing and dancing and going to toddler groups, as well as getting out in the fresh air. Cathy has the excellent ability to connect with parents, communicate well with updates and is always positive. I can highly recommend Cathy to any parent looking for a childminder.

My son always has a great time when he is with Cathy (he is 10 and goes during the school holidays). He’s happy to go which makes life so much easier. I love the fact that she encourages them to be outside and active as much as possible. They have been to some hidden gems of local playgrounds (and I thought I knew where all the good ones were) and had fun filled days out.
Cathy has a lovely way with children and I would highly recommend her .

Cathy has looked after our twin boys two days a week since they were 14 months old. I was dreading leaving them but Cathy has made it SO easy. She sends regular texts and photos to let me know how they are doing. Cathy cares for them as if they were her own, she is amazing and manages to do so much with the children in her care. She provides a caring, fun, stimulating environment and a cooked meal during the day. Charlie and Archie have great fun with Cathy, experiencing new things, socialising with other children and being cared for in her home. She is always accommodating and flexible when she can be. I couldn't have wished for a better childminder! Thank you Cathy!

Absolutely excellent childminder, I was very nervous about leaving my little boy while I was in work but regular check in messages and pictures are sent in through the day to let me know what he's getting up to! He also has 3 home cooked meals a day which I feel is very important and they are always out doing lots of different activities, I feel so lucky to have found such an amazing childminder and in general lovely woman, wouldn't want anyone to be looking after him while I'm in work

Cathy is an excellent childminder who has a smile on her face and is always in a good mood when I drop Manon off in the morning. If she can help, nothing ids ever too much to ask Cathy!
Thank you so much for making Manon so happy at your house and she will miss you when she goes to school full time in September.
I would definitely recommend Cathy as a childminder as she is lovely, enthusiastic and patient.

My son has been going to Cathy's since last year, and in that time has come on leaps and bounds. He cannot wait to go in the mornings and often doesn't want to leave. I cannot recommend Cathy enough, she is fantastic with him! Cathy does a wide range for activities with him and he is constantly challenged. Cathy provides a healthy and varied menu.
I would recommend Cathy to everyone, she is truly amazing with children.

Carhy has a fantastic way with children she is truly a person to trust with your child, she is nurturing, enjoys developing the children, encourages good behaviour and feed them exceptionally. Cathy has vast experience in childcare and can provide advice and support on a range of childcare issues that we all face at home. A true gem xxx

My 17m old son has been going to Cathy since Sept 11, he absolutely loves it, she is a very caring person who is clearly devoted to every child she looks after. She spends lots of time doing activites for the kids and making sure they are all happy. All the kids in her care are happy being there and want to stay! which says something about how fun she is! The home enviroment is very child orientated with lots of variety of toys and activity, the family setting is also lovely. Cathy is very flexible and will do her best to work around your situation. I would have no worries about recomending her to anybody, wish I could take her home, she is a real life Mary Poppins

My 3 year old son has been with Cathy for several months now. He settled in immediately and can't wait to go there every day. Cathy provides a nurturing and stimulating environment suitable for various ages, with a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. Cathy supports and encourages his development, helping with writing, reading and various other skills. She is also really supportive with his daily medication. I have had no concerns at all about the care my son receives with Cathy and would highly recommend her to anyone.
