About Me
Hi, my name is Samantha (Sam) Jarvis, I am an OFSTED registered childminder, I live with my husband Ben, my two children Harry, who is 17 Years old and Archie who is 12.
I have been childminding since 2015 having received 2 “GOOD” ratings from Ofsted, I took a break during 2021 due to COVID restrictions and homeschooling my own children and working in a local preschool, I missed the 1:1 interaction with the children and changing activities based on each individual child’s needs so set back up for 2022 and in May 2024, I received my good grading.
We live in a 4 Bed Chalet bungalow in the Purbrook /Crookhorn area of Waterlooville. We have a separate dedicated playroom and love exploring outside and visiting different groups.
The children will have use of the following rooms:
• Playroom- This is the main playroom, which has all the toys, books and other exciting things.
• Living room- Children will have use of the TV at lunch for quiet time if they are not sleeping, we will use the dining table for all our lovely art and craft work.
• Kitchen- This is where we will bake lots of lovely things.
• Garden- The children will have lots of time to play outside in the garden.
• Study- We use this space for sleeping we have a travel cot for the younger children and sleeping mats for the older children who require sleep.
My Experience
I had been childminding for 6 years and had 2 previous inspections rated "good."
I have worked in reception schools and nurseries whilst gaining my level 2 certificate in childcare and education.
Being a mum of 2 I have 17 years of experience from birth to 17 years and 10 years of childminding/nursery experience

I am open between 07:30 to 16:30 Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
My Fees are as follows,
£5.50 per hour per child, This includes all snacks, drinks, groups and small outings.
If I take your child to nursery/pre-school Full fee will be charged whilst they are there.
I will take up to 4 weeks holiday a year and I do not charge for when my business is closed.
If I or my children are sick (contagious) and I have to close no fees are due
If you take holiday outside my holidays full fee is payable as my setting is open
If your child is sick (contagious) full fees are still payable as my setting is open

Sam has been our childminder now for just over one year. We made the decision to change childcare providers just before my son's first birthday and it was the best decision we made.
Sam always ensures that we are communicated with and even shares 'milestones' throughout the day because she his excited to have witnessed a development. For example we have all been working on Louie pronouncing his 's' and today I received a text to say they were walking along the street and Louie shouted bus!!!!!
Sam is extremely flexible to our needs and will always ensure that the care Louie receives is outstanding.
Louie could not be happier and his development has been amazing!!!! We honestly couldn't ask for anything more!!!
