About Me
Apart from being a registerd childminder i am also a mum to a wonderful teenager who is growing into a polite and well mannered young man. I currently have space available and am exited to meet you and your children. I have extend my passion for childcare into my career and will help your children learn through play and support them through their development milestones.
I live in a detached home with garden situated in a cul dec which is only a 15 min walk from the beach. My home also consistes of a playroom filled with age appropriate toys.
I will be taking the children on outings to the beach, book bug, local parks, toddler groups, soft play and much more.
Indoor activities will include, arts and crafts, baking, music time, singing and dancing, role play, dressing up and lots of development learning.
All children will be given a morning and afternoon snack along with lunch which will be included in the price.

My Experience
I am a mum of one who has also volunteered in local schools and nurseries. I am registered with the Scottish Care Inspectorate a member of the Scottish Childminding Association. I have first aid training and am member of the PVG scheme.
My Qualifications
I have completed the SCMA childminding course and i am also a qualified first aider, fire marshall and have a qualification in additional support needs. I have also completed my training in food hygiene which enables me to cook for your children.

Our little boy has been going to Gwen for the last year and has had a fantastic experience. We love the daily updates and photos to see what he has been up-to. Gwen goes above and beyond with the kids in her care, she always has fun activities planned and adventures outdoors when the weather is decent. He loves taking part in the crafts and baking activities. Gwen puts so much time and effort into everything, and the children come home with lots of crafts and goodies they have made together during seasonal activities and special holidays. Her communication is excellent, and she gives plenty of notice of holidays/ any requirements. Our eldest daughter particularly enjoyed her time over the summer holidays. She visited lots of parks and had some lovely days out which was amazing, as working parents it’s difficult to get time through the summer holidays so we were delighted that she wasn’t missing out! She can’t wait to come back again this year!

I've been using Gwen for my little boy since 2023. As a first time mum I was very apprehensive about leaving my child to return to work. Gwen was fantastic from the word go to keep my mind at ease and provide any reassurance needed. Over the years I have seen my little boy flourish and thrive thanks to all of the activities Gwen provides for the little ones to aid their learning. I love how much my little one gets to explore the world through play and socialising with different children and adults. He runs in the door in the morning barely looking back, he talks excitedly about going and it is clear he is in a safe nurturing and happy environment. Gwen provides pictures and updates through out the day of how he is getting on and is very approachable to answer any questions/queries. Gwen provides consistency with how we parent at home and takes the time at drop offs and pick ups to provide full updates from both sides. I will undoubtedly use Gwen again with my second child in the near future. I am thankful for Gwen and I'm happy to put my trust that my children will be well looked after whilst in her care.

We’re lucky enough to have our little boy attend Gwen’s childminding. He started with Gwen at 13 months and as two first time parents returning to work we were put at ease and supported so much as he settled into the new environment away from us. Gwen is empathetic, understanding, open and considerate of the challenge of leaving your child in childcare . She has open and consistent lines of communication and shares any concerns she has about our wee boy while he is in her care, she sends lovely pictures of the activities he has explored on outings or at home. She has made her childminding business a real home away from home and it’s such a good feeling to know he is in safe hands when not with us. Couldn’t recommend Gwen more
