About Me

I am an Ofsted registered childminder, my last inspection was Outstanding. I live in Yealmpton, I can accommodate overnight, weekend and babysitting. .

I take 30 hours funding.

I strive to offer experiences, activities and opportunities that provide the best possible learning outcomes for each individual child in my care, moving them on from where they are and adapting my practise according to how they choose to learn and achieve.
Alongside this, I make it a priority to communicate with parents, through daily discussion, diaries and shared planning. This ensures every child feels loved, valued, safe and secure which is the best possible environment to have fun and promote effective learning and development.

We do lots of lovely activities, which cover the seven learning areas of the EYFS. These include art and craft activities, painting, sticking, cooking, visits to local parks, library, singing and rhymes, musical instruments and movement, dance, imaginary play, sand, water, etc. We also visit a local playgroup, Local beaches, Saltram, Buckland Abbey, Moors, Woodlands, Dartmoor Zoo etc. Your child will also have the opportunity to socialise in a smaller group of children of varying ages, building on their confidence, social skills and communication and language. I have an outside play area which includes: mud kitchen, sand tables, play house, fairy house, slides, swings, ride on toys and lots more. I am an outdoors person and find children love to learn outdoors.

I teach school readiness for pre-schoolers which includes: writing names, words, sums, etc.

My setting is very flexible and full of fun, offering children a wide variety of play and learning opportunities I received an Outstanding ( in all areas) from OFSTED reflecting the quality of childcare that I currently provide. I promote British values at my setting

Meals are prepared on a daily basis.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided and inclusive of fees.
Children have plenty of fruit served each day and healthy snacks.
Children in my setting are also encouraged to be potty trained and I work in partnership with parents to reach this goal.
