My name Adrienne former New Zealander now living in the UK. I am an Ofsted registered childminder since 2009, I was graded "Good" at my recent inspection (October 2022). I am based in West/Central Reading.
I live with my partner of 22. years Christopher and our two gorgeous children aged 17and 14.As a mother myself I know how a parent feels when looking for good Childcare for their loved ones as I have been in the same situation myself and this is why I decided to take up childminding professionally to help parents like myself.
We live near Reading West train station ( 5 mins walk to train station) for those who travel to work by train and close to 15/16/17 and 33 bus routes or its approx 20 min walk to town centre.
I love being a mother and this is why I believe I can provide a warm, safe, loving home environment in which children feel valued, they are able to learn and develop and most of all have fun be happy within my setting and independent. I encourage children to interact with other children in my care or by visiting other childminder settings where the children can further their social skills. Your children will have an enriched Childcare experience.
I strongly encourage independence ( taking own shoes/coats/hats, feeding themselves etc),set boundaries and have lot of fun
Drop off and pick up from my door or at another childminders ( we regularly visit another child more so pick up or drop off may be at another cm house who is also in RG30 area)
I have a full driving license and we have two cats.

I only do FULL days 07.30am-4.30/5.00pmMonday to Thursday inclusive ( sorry not half days or a couple of hours ). Vacancy available September 2025 for 4 full days only.

My Experience
In my setting we are very much into the outdoors so we are regulars at various local parks all year round, I encourage children to play outside whenever possible in all weathers so puddle suits and wellies are a must!
We have a large safe and secure garden within our setting which allows children to play outside as well as an undercover section of the garden for all year playtime. Equipment such as ride on scooters, trikes, bikes as well as a 'mud' kitchen, reading den, playhouse with play kitchen c/w play food, large trampoline as well as lots of other various toys. We do lots of exploring of nature within the garden and on various park walks often with other childminders.
We have a dedicated playroom where we often do art and craft, exploring, music, role play adventures, reading, puzzles, messy play involving painting, glueing and sticking, junk modelling, Play-doh, colouring, ICT etc.
Please note: I only do FULL days 7.30am-4.30/5.00pm Monday to Thursday inclusive ( 4 day space) all year around and funding is strictly term time only ( funding is not paid all year around, there is approx 14 weeks that funding does not pay throughout the year )

Ady is the best childminder someone could chose for their child. I had to do a lot ofresearch before finding her and I will never regret the decision I made.I had my daughter starting with Ady from the age of 1 for 3 years until she started school. Ady's setting and activities she does are much more than anyone would expect, she basically operates like a private nursery the only difference would be the number of children looking after. My daughter has settled very well in Ady's setting and from the shy little girl who was when she first gor in she is now the confident child being more than ready to go to school. Adydoes lots ofactivities with the kids like messy play, reading, singing, dancing, food trials, going out to local parks, going to different playgroups, days out to farms, in the local woods, at the science centre, at Boulters locks for kids to see how boats go in and out through the gates and all sorts of stimulating activities. She has a big garden in which she has playing houses, real kitchen for kids to pretend play, water play table, sensiry board, a corner with activities like Montessori ones where there are also letters, numbers and shapes. Most of the time when the weather is nice the kids go out and even if there is the odd rain they she will get them in the puddle suits and wellies and get them for walks in the woods, to feedthe ducks and play in water and mud! She is amazing and she did with my daughter things I would never have done with her. She thought her to write her name, to count and to write most numbers to 10 by herself! I cannot recommend Ady enough, she is the most amazing, trustworthy and kind person I know and for sure one who I would always trust to leave my child with.
