About Me

School drop off and Pick up from Purfleet Primary.

My name is Leigh. I have been ofsted registered since 2007

I am Level 3 NVQ qualified in childcare.

My role is to offer quality childcare to children and their families.

I aim to meet all children's welfare requirements and to help them develop in all areas of learning.

I offer a safe, friendly and secure environment where children are free to express themselves.

I enjoy working with the children I care for, watching them grow, develop and become independent.

I offer a wide range of activities:

Arts and crafts (painting, sticking, drawing, chalking, making various items for various celebrations)

Out door play, we have free flow to our outside play area.
We visit other child minder's settings where the children can mix with other children from different backgrounds, ages and areas. We visit soft play areas, go on picnics , weather permitting, visit farms, the beach and various other places.

Children in my care are able to have a vast range of other children to interact with of varying ages.

All the children who are in the Early Years age range have their own personal files where their development and achievements are recorded. As well as the written observations I will have photo's of the children while they are doing various activities. I am happy for all parents to arrange a meeting with me twice a year minimum to look at their children's file and enjoy seeing their children's development.

My Experience

***All of my inspections prior to 2019 have been graded Good. My 2019 inspection could only be graded as Met. The reason for this is because I was in the process of training for the Prison service full time and did not have any children in attendance so the visiting Ofsted Inspector could only grade me as Met. ****

I hold a level 3 qualification in childcare.

I hold a level 3 award in Pediatric First Aid

I have a CRB / DBS which can be seen on request.

I am a member of the The Professional Association for Childcare and the Early Years and have public liability insurance with them .

I take ongoing training in various fields linked to childminding to improve my care of your child/children.

I hold a level 2 award in food safety.

I have previously worked with my local Children's Centre teaching the children different crafts.

I accept 2, 3 and four year old funding of 15 and 30 hours per week

While children are in my setting they can enjoy a safe caring environment where they are able to develop within the Eyfs. We do various activities such as crafting, imaginative play, cooking, going out to visit other setting and trips out to parks various parks and other places.
