About Me
My name is Amy and I have 14yr old twins, they are absolutely amazing with all the children that come into our home and quickly become adored by them all. I am married and we have an 8yr old dog called Myles, he is a Cavapoo. Myles is very loving and friendly and they are well known for being excellent family dogs who love to be around children. Myles has his own space where he can go and children are never left unsupervised around him, it's great for them to learn how to be kind and gentle around animals, everybody loves him. We also have two Netherland dwarf bunnies, they have been well socialised and enjoy the children stroking them occasionally.
We live in a nice quiet area with country parks, library, and playgroups all within walking distance. We love being out and about and getting lots of fresh air. We also love to do art and crafts, baking, dancing to name a few. We are always doing something fun but also have some quiet time reading books, singing, or making up games using our imagination. I rotate the toys so it’s something different out for the children each day and focus on their interest. I believe the best way for young children to learn, grow and develop is through play.
I enjoy creating fun messy activities in my large trays in the garden, some examples are paint, sand, water, ice, soil, gloop, rice, pasta and many more. I try to give the children lots of opportunities to explore different textures through messy play, then find ways to develop the activity to take the learning further.
We can turn anything into a learning opportunity l!

My little girl has been going to Amy since she had just turned 1. Only leaving now just turning 3 to go to pre-school. Amy has been so friendly and kind and my daughter loved going to hers. To start with she was very unsettled being away from me but Amy was very patient with her.
They do lots activities at home and out and about. She only has small groups of children so I feel they all get a lot of attention.
I can not praise Amy enough and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder!
My son has been going to Amy since he was 10 months old, and the thought of him leaving this month to go to pre school, makes me so so sad! Amy is honestly, the most amazing childminder we could have asked for, I knew instantly when meeting Amy that she was ‘The One’!
My son absolutely loves Amy and looks forward to going every morning! Her children are fantastic with all the children and get involved with games, outings and activities.. which my son loves, he’s constantly talking about them as if they are his best friends!
Amy has been the most supportive, caring and influential person which I am forever grateful for, my son learns something new every day through the various activities Amy does with them and I believe this has well and truly prepared him for preschool! Amy also provides daily updates and photos by message which are the highlight of my day!
I cannot thank Amy enough for being the best childminder to my son, she treats him like he is one of her own and he absolutely adores her!
Thank you Amy!!
The title says it all. I feel so incredibly lucky to have found Amy.
She currently looks after my son, and has done for the last 12 months, since he was 9 months old, and I had to go back to work after maternity leave. He had never been away from me for even a day at this point, so I was really nervous about leaving him. However, i needn't have worried!
Amy provides a warm, inviting home from home environment, and treats every child she cares for like a member of her own family. My son adores Amy and you can see she really cares about him too, always providing cuddles and reassurance when needed. My son loves her children too, often talking about them and saying their names. He gets so excited when we go to her each morning.
Amy goes above and beyond and provides a wide range of activities for the children, they're always age appropriate, and well organised. Her communication is excellent, providing daily updates and lots of adorable photos too, as well as many arty creations we can keep. She is always available if you have any questions and supports any tough phases in development, offering advice and working together when needed.
She teaches all the children to be kind to each other and they all have such a lovely friendship, which is encouraged and nurtured by Amy.
Amy clearly loves what she does and the children she cares for really seem to thrive. I can always hear lots of laughter when I arrive to pick up my son and the other children always look so happy and settled.
I would recommend her to everyone, she really is fab. Thank you Amy for all you do!
Amy is an excellent childminder who is both friendly and professional. My daughter has been with Amy since she was 9 months old, now she is 14 and she loves being with Amy. I was really worried at first since my daughter hardly spent time with anybody other than myself and my partner and I was surprised how quickly she got used to Amy; it only took about two weeks, and now she often does not want to come home. Amy's approach toward children is really kind and respectful; she always encourages them to participate in a variety of activities, including painting, crafts, baking, etc., and I get beautiful pictures as well as my daughter's priceless artwork. They regularly go on walks, feed the ducks and birds, and enjoy the trees, flowers, etc. I'm happy with our choice, Amy keeps us updated on our daughter's mood and progress on a daily basis. I would highly recommend it.
My son Harry started with Harry at 9 months old back in 2016 and still thrives about Amy now at nearly 7. My eldest son Lewis went a coupe of times too and enjoyed himself. Amy was incredible and still is! She exceeded our expectations in so many ways and was always interactive with Harry and ourselves if ever there was a problem. There has not been a single day where Harry has not wanted to go to Amy's and still wants to go there now. Not only is Amy a childminder she is now part of our family. There were Wacky Warehouse mornings, dog walking with a park stop, Tapestry updated regularly with Harry's progress. When Harry started PreSchool Amy went above and beyond to still have Harry and pick him up at his finishing time :)
