My Experience

I have a Btec National Diploma , level 3 in Childhood studies.
I have previously worked as a Nursery nurse, Nanny and Teacher’s assistant.
I was graded a good in my recent Ofsted inspection in May 2022.

In October 2023 Myself and my fellow Childminder Lisa Davey decided to join forces and set up a very unique setting, called 'Little Willows'. Little Willows is a purpose built barn at my property in Ardleigh. It is very much a small setting, never more than 8 children at one time and it still has that lovely homely feel that is so important when choosing a childminder for your child. This has been a dream for a very long time and we are so excited with this new adventure we have begun.

Every day we have a variety of toys and activities set up making sure they cover children’s individual interests and that they cover all areas of development. Being registered childminders we have to follow the statutory requirements of the Early years foundation stage, making sure we provide a high quality curriculum for each and every child who attends our setting. All children have the opportunity to regularly attend parks, woods, beach, library, zoo, farms, toddler groups and organised music and movement classes with fellow childminders. We occasionally visit indoor play centres and Little City groups too.
We provide a flexible daily routine that consists of music time, stories , free play, sensory exploring and lots of fun. Children get to free flow indoors and out in a large safe space. We have a purpose made garden area which is safely enclosed and full of fun activities. We also have a larger garden to go exploring in with our special fairy and story tree which is a favourite! We have an allotment plot for the children to plant on a larger scale and to explore the concept of growth. The
children love nothing more than putting on their puddle suits and wellies and exploring all the seasons. We mustn't forget our chickens too, the children have loved this experience of hatching our baby chicks to now caring for our hens and collecting their eggs daily.

I am open from 7.30 till 6 Monday to Friday ,hours are flexible.

My Fees

• Childminding from £7.50 per hour

I charge £7.50 an hour which includes a morning snack.

I except all funding for all age groups

Parents will be asked to provide a pack up for lunch and a dinner if applicable
