My Summary

My Experience

I have been fully qualified with an HNC in Early Education and Childcare since 2009. I worked within a busy preschool room for nearly 7 years, 5 years as a Nursery Nurse and 18 months as the preschool room leader/senior. I have a vast knowledge of the Curriculum of Excellence and supporting children with the transition to primary 1, other skills include understanding the importance of play, supporting children's behaviour and helping children with additional support needs. I am also trained in child protection, food hygiene and first aid.

In November 2015 I began nannying for a two families on a part time basis looking after children varying in ages from 9 months and up to 11 years old, gaining loads of experience in new environments and with other age groups.

When my maternity leave ended in 2020, I worked part time for an Edinburgh Playgroup with 2-5 year olds, expanding my knowledge further in the pre birth to three framework and the curriculum for excellence. Unfortunately the playgroup had to close at the end of 2021 so I returned to nannying on a part time basis.

I am very hard working and love to work as part of a team and on my own. I can use my initiative and have great time management and leadership skills. I love a challenge and I’m motivated to take on new experiences.
