About Me
I am a fully registered childminder with SCSWIS and have 13 years experience childminding.
I live in a child safe cul-de-sac in Dundonald rd area, close to town centre and to major roads for commuting parents.
I aim to provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment with an emphasis on keeping my number of children low in order to meet the additional needs and requirements of younger babies and maintain a 'home from home' setting which I feel younger babies and toddlers often need when being apart from their parents.
My Experience
I have 13 years child minding experience.
At my latest inspection by Care Inspectorate I was graded as 'Very Good'
In the past 13 years I have been caring mainly for young babies and toddlers and also have over 30 yrs experience of bringing up my own children.
I have an HNC Healthcare and Bsc Hons degree in Occupational Therapy and Health Ergonomics and during my college and university training I obtained a wealth of knowledge and experience in providing care to all ages and use these skills to provide an outstanding service for your children
My Qualifications
As well as being a fully registered childminder with SCSWIS I have completed an honours degree in Occupational Therapy and also an HNC in Healthcare. (See my website for more details about Occupational therapy and how this qualification enhances the care I provide)
I have completed East Ayrshire council's introduction to childminding including aims and objectives, child protection, risk assessment, personal planning and activities and the business side of childminding.
I hold a full clean driving licence
I have an enhanced disclosure and also a PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scotland (Act 2007)
I have Liability Insurance
I have completed a Paediatric First Aid course

My Availability
I currently provide a service Mon-Thurs (Fridays are not available)
Contact me for current availability (if you can state age of your child, days and hours required, any additional info such as school/ nursery etc I will be able to answer any queries quicker)
I currently only cover Gargieston school.
I do not offer funded hours for 3 and 4 yr olds but may be able to offer additional days you require above your funded hours. This can often work out cheaper than paying additional fees at nursery and gives your child a variety of activities and experiences. I.e. childminders often spend more time outdoors in a wide variety of places

My son who is 4 years old has been going to Christine for 5 months. In this short time he has learnt to write his name, is more familiar with the alphabet and his words and letters through learning through play.
He loves the nurturing environment Christine creates and comes home with all his arts and crafts work which he loves.
I am delighted to have Christine as my sons childminder. It is so reassuring to know he is in a caring and nurturing household. And everything is done to help the children and always in their best interest.

Your son has came on in leaps and bounds since coming to me. He loves to learn and I love to teach him. He loves making things and taking them home to show you.
He's a lovely little boy and gets on well with the other children I have and I look forward to seeing how much more he learns in the coming months.
