Excellent, caring, nurturing childminder

We have had Fiz take care of our youngest since he was 9 months old (for 2.5 years). I can not say enough good things about our experience. Fiz is present and connected to each child and their needs. She is very verbal and explains everything in age-appropriate detail to each young child. I have been impressed with her patience and consistency over the past 2.5 years - we have only had a day or two when we had to find alternative childcare. Fiz provides a home away from home for our little one, and has become one of the most important people in our lives! She takes the children to the zoo, play groups, singing/music classes, parks and museums every week. She also arranges different stations of activities in her home for each day - keeping the children engaged and interested in ever changing materials/games/arts/crafts/toys and so on. Fiz does not spend time on her phone, she is connected to the children’s needs, and is caring and nurturing to each child. Fiz also makes lovely lunches for the children, and brings fruit and healthy snacks with her every day. She has been a life saver for us!

Wonderful childminder.

Fiz has looked after all three of my children. She is so caring and kind to all the children she looks after, giving them amazing experiences at play groups, parks, music groups, the zoo. She always knows what is going on in the area for small people and she will always find interesting and appropriate activities for everyone. She always cooks healthy food (and the children all eat it!) and mealtimes are fun and nutritious. There are always interesting toys and activities at her house and Fiz is attentive and focused on all the children’s needs.
I was always completely happy leaving my children with Fiz, i knew she was completely trustworthy and would give them a fun, happy and safe day. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Amazing, nurturing childcare

Fiz has looked after all 3 of our children at various points over the last 6 years and still plays a hugely important role in their lives.
Our youngest was in her care from 1 years old where he thrived. A curious and questioning child, Fiz got to know him quickly and adapted activities to suit. He loved their days at the zoo as much as the stay and plays at local centers and the many activities Fiz sets up in her own home. How she manages to bake with toddlers I'll never know!
To understand fully how great Fiz is, walk into her house at pick up at the end of a busy day - there can be a range of children there, from toddlers to older primary school children and each is engaged in an activity that she has thoughtfully guided them to.
Fiz really understands the different needs of children and is always reading to develop her pedegogy of how and why children do what they do. Whilst really helpful for when your child is in her care, it's also really useful as a parent to understand 'Why are they doing that?'!
Knowing that your child is going into a setting where they're seen as individuals and will be cared for as such whilst not with you, is such a blessing as you head off to work. We really couldn't have got through the last 6 years without her support!

The best childcare experience with Fiz!

Our son has been with Fiz since March 2022, since he was a year old and he absolutely loves her.
We can very honestly and genuinely say that we have nothing but praise for Fiz she is a brilliant childcare professional and we absolutely recommend her to any parent!

Fiz has created a nurturing environment in which children in her care have the space to explore and develop while feeling happy and secure. They go on fun days out at the zoo, farms, museums, the woods. They go to play groups and meet other children, and they go to the library for singing and stories.
The children are exposed to a lovely, well balanced mix of opportunities to play and explore, both in structured activities and in free flow playing.
She sets out different toys or activities to encourage a wide range of developmental skills and we've really seen how much our son has learned during this time.

Fiz recognises each child's individual interests and always notices new things they like or talk about. She really listens to them and has helped our son develop the skills to deal with emotions, navigating social situations and communication, as an ongoing process that developed further as he's grown older.
Our son is always excited to go to Fiz in the morning and at the end of the day he wants to carry on playing, it's hard to convince him to leave..
We are extremely lucky to have such amazing care for our son and we wholeheartedly would recommend!

An amazing experience for our daughter

It's very nerve wracking to put your child into childcare for the first time but from the moment we started taking our daughter to Fiz she put us at ease. She has a wonderful manner with children, provides an excellent range of activities for her inside and outside of her bright and well equipped home and often our one year old is so engrossed in what she is doing when we come to collect her she doesn't want to leave. We could not have asked for a kinder, more caring and stimulating experience for our child.

Review for Fiz

Fiz looked after my son from the age of two to three. I always felt completely at ease knowing I was leaving him in such a caring and stimulating environment. Fiz frequently took the children out to local playgroups and parks and provided all sorts of stimulating and creative activities at her home. She is extremely professional and kept detailed visual and written records of the different activities and significant stages of my sons development. While at work it was comforting to know that my son was being cared for by someone we totally trusted and he really enjoyed being with.
