About Me
Fully experienced and registered childminder since 2006 with first aid, child protection, infection control, food hygiene and Let's Get Out certificates which are updated regularly. I am 56 years old, married to Ian for 31 years and we have a daughter Emma who is 22 years old and a son Euan who is 19 years old. I have been childminding since 2006 and my family and I really enjoy the children coming to our home.
I took up running a few years ago and that is keeping me fit and Emma joined me in running the Race for Life 5k in Stirling.
My mum , Maureen McCaffer, has been registered with me since July 2008 and this allows us to accommodate a few families as we found that parents had difficulty sometimes in finding a childminder if they had more than 1 child.
My mum is a retired registered nurse. We offer a service from the young toddlers to the older school children and we have membership with the toddlers groups and gymnastics tumble tots, so we offer a varied daily routine that is tailored to suit the families individual requirements. We also have a fully enclosed garden where children can play with outdoor toys. We organise varied arts and crafts, baking, Wii games, playstation, pool table and take the children outside as much as possible at the local swingparks etc.
My Experience
We love looking after all the children as they are like an extension of our own family.We have certificates in Let's Get Out , First Aid, Food Hygiene, Child Protection, Infection Control and keep these updated regularly.
We have experience in looking after children from babies up to age 16. We aim to be positive role models for all the children and help them to grow and develop through every day play.
We provide a safe, secure and fun environment for all the children and strive to make both parents and children feel content and happy when using our service.
Each child in our care is valued for their ethnic background, language and faith and treated equally to enjoy an environment free from bullying and discrimination.
My Qualifications
My mum, Maureen is a retired registered nurse and we are both experienced mums!!
We hold certificates in First Aid, Infection Control, Child Protection, Food Hygiene , Lets Get Out workshop. I also hold my Social Services (Children and Young People) SVQ at SCQF Level 7.
My Availability
Our hours of Business are from 745 am until 530pm ( outwith these hours can be considered) Monday - Friday. Can offer full-time or part-time spaces.

Fees arranged at time of visit through discussion with individual families depending on their requirements.

Dylan had only been with us a short time and already feels like part of the family !! We are enjoying the time he spends here and the other children get on very well with Dylan. We feel that he is very happyhere and loves joining in at baking/playdough time !!

We love the days that your boys come here and Emma and Euan are a bit disappointed on a Friday when they are not here, as they really enjoy their company. Matthew and Cameron have settled really well and feel like an extended part of our family now!!
