About Me
Hello my name is Mariel I am 30 years old and currently live in Kenley. I am a driver and own my own car. I love working with children, supporting them and watching them grow and develop. I am bubbly, caring, easy going and have a good sense of humour. I am a hard working individual and fulfil tasks to the best of my ability. I am also willing to try new things. I am looking for a nanny role which will help me have more time with my 9 month old currently. I would like to have a be of flexibility to my work to get the best of both.
My Experience
I have worked in the early year sector for 10 years, firstly working as a nursery practitioner and then working up to a Room Leader role, third in charge and them deputy manager. The majority of my experience is within the toddler age range (aged 18 months to 3 years). However, I do enjoy working with children aged 3-5 years and have worked within this age room when covering as a Room Leader when need be.
I have experience of building strong positive relationships with children and their parents as I feel this is very important to enforce trust, reliability and stability. I have experience when it comes to potty training, behaviour management and supporting and meeting children’s individual needs and interests. I have completed previous training in Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid- I will have to complete another course as the three year period is up.
I am looking for a career change from a nursery setting environment to a nanny role where I can focus my skills and knowledge into one family and create a special bond. And will enable me to have more flexibility and more time with my family.
I enjoy baking, messy play, mark making and trying out new and different activities!
My Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts with Honours Upper Second Class in Early Years: Teaching and Learning.
Foundation Degree Early Years
BTEC National Certificate Level 3 Childcare, Learning and Development
AS Travel and Tourism- A
BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma Applied Science
I have 14 GCSE'S which I achieved between 2008 and 2010
My Availability
I am currently working at a nursery setting so would have to give my notice but I am looking for a 30 hours a week over 4 days.
I would not only been looking for a nanny role in kenley but would consider the areas: warlingham, banstead, purley, whyteleafe, sanderstead, caterham or coulsdon.
