About Me

OUTSTANDING GRADED CHILDMINDER
LEVEL 3 SENDCO in Early Years
I have over 23 years exp in childminding, over 26 years in parenting.
I am a granny to three grandchildren
I am fully vaccinated
I hold full DBS and another for being a governor at a local school
I hold a nvq ccld level 3.
I have special needs training in asthma, anaphylactic shock syndrome, mydination delay, hay-fever and mild autism learning difficulties level 2, business and administration level 2 plus I have a full first aid/ ped certificate.
Level 2 in special needs (level 3 due to be studied 2023), childhood illness, behavioural issues, health and hygiene and schemas.
I also have food and hygeine level 2 certificate so i can be of more help with your child becoming more healthy and aware of what is good for them.
I also hold a level 3 safeguarding certificate which is updated each time required.

I WILL ALSO HAVE CHILDREN JUST IN SCHOOL HOLIDAY TIME ONLY WITH NO WORRIES OF THEM BEING IN PRIVATE SCHOOL OR STATE.

I try to work alongside army families to help more than usual knowing you don't always have family close by so I am very flexible on times and will help out occasionally when you have functions etc.
I love children and work from 07.30am till 17.00/17.30 Monday - Thursday. Fridays can be available.
We play lots and have lots of healthy eating and love to help each other. we love time in the fresh air, we go for walks, play parks,river fun, watch the tanks on the plain, feed the ducks, visit shops and have regular fun dates with friends.
We visit the local farm regularly where the children have hands on experience learning to be kind, gentle and responsibilIties of looking after animals and nature.
I am a great believer in healthy eating a lifestyle and like to encourage the children to try new things.
We love having parties at Hillsminding and love to make everyone feel special. we have lots of friends who join us in the school holidays and i try to help the children have a wide range of activities to learn from, like out and about, cinema, outings, places of interest and the park, helping them with social behavour and support, we also love having trips out on the bus and watching the villages as we go through.
we love swimming (heated pool in garden for summer) going to the river and most school holidays we have topic work which all ages complete but to their own abilities.
picnics out and about are not always planned sometimes its nice to have indoor and out door picnics. we love watching films if we have been tired out and if the children aren't well quiet time by sitting and relaxing helps them to feel happier and join in with the others.
I try my best to encourage your children to learn all the time whether that's counting, colours, goals and homework. I am not a qualified teacher but i like to encourage all children to learn, adapt and progress where i can. I have computer access with high parental control for safety. I regularly self evaluate and encourage parents to keep me informed of any issues they may have good or bad as this can only keep the children happy and promote encouragement all round.
Children of 5 years and younger have a learning journal, which is online based for your interaction too. This is where we can share their progress, achievements and wow factors while in my care. Lots of photos are taken to keep you involved and for memory purposes too.

We have a dog at Hillsminding, 'Ruben' he is a cockapoo (03-12-15) very friendly and excellent with children plus you as an adult will be greeted with love.
