About Me
My name is Louise and I am a mum of two boys aged 16 and 19 and I have been working as a childminder for over 9 years now. I live in a quiet road which is surrounded by woodland and lovely views, my home is warm and friendly but is over run with toys!
I am on the 32 bus route which runs every 20 Minutes to town.
We have a large back garden with plenty of room to run around in with plenty of toys and a purpose built playground. We have just had a covered play area built so they can be outside in all weathers without getting too wet.
I work with 3 assistants, We all hold a current paediatric first aid certificate and complete child protection training yearly. I will work with parents for all cultural and dietary requirements.
We offer the 15 and 30 hours free Childcare with no extra costs or conditions on using extra paid hours, we offer to provide lunch if parents want it at a cost of £1.50 Per day and extra snacks are charged at £1.00 per day, parents will need to supply nappies and spare clothing for there child we will supply the wipes. if the Child is still on formula the parents will need to supply this.
I enjoy working and caring for children and love watching and encouraging them to learn and develop. I think a child's learning journey is special and will make sure the parents are as much involved as I can, and to include them in my ideas and planning. I follow the Early Years, and we use a online platform to communicate with our parents daily updating you with photos, nappy changes, sleep times, and any news we need to share.
We treat all the children like they are part of our family.
My Experience
My two sons have now grown up and one is at university I have experience with special needs and have a knowledge and understanding of autism.
we have a lively setting were we love nothing more then making mud pies, playing football, digging the garden or racing on the ride-on, we love to grow plants and vegetables, and teach the children how things grow.
We have an extensive range of books available for all ages, and a quite area to encourage reading, for the older children we have a number of computer consoles with age related games
or can help with homework, there is also a football and basket ball hoop available.
I try to take all the children on a learning walks to library, park or woods and let them chose the subject we are going to discuss along the way.
I am a trained safeguarding lead, and in the process of caring out SENCO training,
Last Ofsted Nov 2022 was judge as good.
If your child has a structured sleep pattern I will do my best to keep to the times you have set as all children need unbroken sleep, to help them grow and learn.
I have been on the advisory board at the local sure start centre, and spent 8 years being a governor at the local school.

My Availability
Monday- Friday between 08.00-17.00 but can be flexible.
I can collect from the following schools, Ash hill, I do employ an assistant to help with School Runs So please contact me as I maybe able to cover other schools.

My son attended childcare with Louise and Liz for 9 months. Louise provides a friendly professional childminding service which is like a home from home for the children. She is flexible and helpful. Louise has lots of toys and games, the children do lovely craft activities and she takes them out in the holidays. She always had time to talk to the parents, and her family are all welcoming to parents and children. My son loved going to Louise's after school, he had lots of fun and made lots of new friends. Unfortunately, he changed to a school too far for Louise to collect from. Would highly recommend Louise and Liz.
