About Me
*** Lots of hand written references available on request ***
I’m Natalie, an OFSTED registered Childminder since 2009. Graded ‘Outstanding’ in Jan 2020 and March 2015. I now live in Bushey Village with my husband and we have 3 children (22, 20 and 15). We also have a very child friendly chocolate Labrador Dog and a fluffy grey cat who are very used to being around children!
As a member of the Forest Childcare Association I am committed to taking the children I care for on outdoor adventures to inspire and encourage their learning and development. I have studied and passed the Introduction to Forest School Diploma achieving a Distinction. We regularly visit Cassiobury Park, Rickmansworth Aquadrome, Bentley Priory, Leavesden Country Park, Shenley and Whippendell Woods to name a few. We also make time for local playgroups, parks, the library, child-led and planned activities in my home setting. I offer a welcoming, nurturing environment where your child can feel at home and be given tailored care.
My Experience
I was Ofsted inspected in January 2020 and graded 'Outstanding'. I am happy to supply a copy of my latest Inspection Report upon request. I also have numerous references and parents who would be willing to talk to you about me if need be.
As a Mum to 3 children I've had plenty of first hand experience helping my own children grow and learn and would love to share my enjoyment at doing so with others.
As a previous working parent I understand the need to feel content that your child is being well cared for, treated equally and encouraged to learn and achieve whilst you are at work. Peace of mind for a working parent is essential.
I will support your child in all areas of the EYFS and with your input can build on your child's strong points, as well as strengthen any areas in which they need encouragement, guidance and a little extra help. Every child is capable of reaching their goals with positive words and patience. In our house children are heard, listened to and seen!
Of course there are rules and children need boundaries to let them know when something they are doing is wrong. These boundaries will be clear and concise and will always be the same and the same for everyone.
I provide notes for sleeps/nappy changes up to age 2 and upload photos taken during the day. Beyond this I provide verbal information coupled with weekly photos to share your child’s learning and play. I use an online system called Babysdays that allows you to access uploaded photos and EYFS starting points and next steps for your child. Plus any medicine/accident forms, policies, documents, invoices and Contracts.
Along with learning and achieving through play and activities, sleep and rest times are just as important in a child's routine to maintain well being physically and mentally.
Please do not hesitate to call and arrange a stay and play visit to help you gain a better idea of whether I am the right childminder for your child.

I would like to thank and recommend Natalie for taking care of my 2 year old daughter Tiana, it was just for a short period of time but she really came through. She communicates well and gives an update of the daily events and sends pictures of what the little ones are up to. Thank you Natalie, I pray for only the best for you in everything 🙏. Edith
Natalie looked after my son from 9 months until he was 27 months. Natalie is extremely professional and looked after my son fantastically. Her home is welcoming, as are her family and my son never had an un happy moment while in her care. Natalie always ensured my child did a range of activities and gave me a daily detailed report which I always looked forward to reading. Natalie cared for my son as if he were one of her own and my son loved her gorgeous chocolate Labrador! I would highly recommend Natalie.
