About Me
I currently am expecting to have limited spaces available from the September term 2024 for Early Years children. Please enquire for further details. No before/after school vacancies at the moment.
Hello. I am an Ofsted registered childminder living in the Golborne/Lowton area in a quiet cul de sac near to major traffic routes for working parents. I utilise the playgroups, parks, play areas and library within Lowton and Golborne but also offer day trips further afield to National Trust areas, museums and farms/outdoor spaces.
I live with my partner and our 4 teenage children. We have pets, being an axolotl and a Spaniel called Lola.
I live in a detached home with lots of space, have a dedicated external woodland themed play room and a good sized enclosed garden. I have a large selection of resources which provide children with stimulating learning experiences and more importantly fun!
I have a 7 seater vehicle and hold a full, clean driving licence with appropriate insurance for business use.
I am committed to delivering the Early Years Framework (EYFS) to all children, ensuring each child is recognised as unique and as an individual, is given lots of opportunities to reach their potential, can play in a safe warm, homely environment and have enriching experiences.
I am committed to working in partnership with parents to provide a high level of care in a home from home environment where children can feel safe, cared for and learn through their play and where parents can be assured that their children's welfare is my number one priority.
My Experience
I am mum to two children aged 16 and 12 whose journey through the early years prompted me to embark on training to work with EYFS children. I completed my childminder training (2012) and regularly update this by attending other training courses provided through the LA to enhance my provision. Myself and my partner have enhanced DBS checks and I hold the relevant public liability insurance. I am registered as a food business with my local authority and with the ICO (data protection)
I have references from former colleagues as to my character after working in retail with the same company for 15 years and from parents of previously minded children available to view upon request.
My Qualifications
I completed my childminder training and became registered in January 2012. I have completed the relevant safety training, safeguarding, paediatric first aid, food hygiene, health and safety and food allergy training. Also, I undertake any further training which will assist me in caring for children and that further enhances their experiences. Other training includes foundations in phonics, child develpment 0-5 years, behaviour management and characteristics of effective learning. When I can I will also seek to gain further specific childcare qualifications.
My Availability
I am currently available from 7.30am until 5.30 Monday through to Friday.
I can offer full time and part time care.
I can provide the 15 hours funded places and the additional 15 hours for 3 - 4 year olds.
I have no current vacancies for Early Years or After School.

I cannot recommend Rachael enough. She is a brilliant childminder who is incredibly knowledgeable in her field. She’s up to date with all the latest training and education, helping to foster an environment where my little boy excels in his development and more importantly loves to go.
She has a well thought out timetable with regards to meals and activities, she loves the children and understands each have their own needs and personalities.
On a personal note I will be heartbroken when my little boy goes to school and isn’t with Rachael anymore. She’s looked after him since 9 months old and I couldn’t have gotten through these first few years without her. She’s been a valuable friend and supportive person to have as I’ve navigated motherhood. During tough circumstances with my child’s home dynamic, Rachael has proven to be confidential, professional, whilst remaining personable, compassionate and again added such value to my sons life during a hard period of adjustment in the home.
She understand complex home circumstances and her priority is to always keep my child safe and his welfare and development is at the forefront of her mind.
Thank you so much Rachael for everything you’ve done for me & B! I hope you get a new set of little ones to love and care for as much as you have us x

Racheal provides a homely engaging environment for my daughter. She attend different settings of another child care provider and family and Rachael’s is often the place where she negotiates to go.
I get a home report each day and activities updates through a private Facebook page. They spend lots of time outside in nature such as nature walks, park etc when the weather is dry.
Racheal also picked up developmental areas that we were able to improve on. I was recommended Racheal through word of mouth and I would have also recommended.

Rachael provided a fantastic childminding experience for our two son's and baby daughter.
Rachael provided a very caring and welcoming home with a dedicated playroom which was bright and full of toys and activities.
Rachael was very professional and gave 100% to settling my children into her setting by filling it full of new and exciting experiences to which i have seen them thrive.
Rachael's feedback through the daily diary and learning journey was invaluable as i always felt informed of the days and weeks events.
Rachael and her mum Lynn (After school assistant) provided me with a fantastic after school arrangement as Lynn like Rachael really enjoyed being with children and my children enjoyed being with her, as i could never get them into the car to go home!
I would highly recommend Rachael's care and would most certainly use her again in the future.

Rachael provided the most professional and caring childcare for my two daughters that I could have hoped for. Within a loving and well equipped home it was a smooth transition for my youngest daughter to join Rachaels care on a full time basis.
Rachael always gave in depth feedback to how my daughters day/week/months had been and I was never left wondering how things are going with her. My daughter flourished under her care, she regularly showed improvements in her learning abilities and really developed important social skills from their trips out to play groups and play days.
I fully recommended Rachaels care and would happily place any further children under her minding!
