About Me
My name is Kathryn and I live in Burnley, near the Football Club. I am a fully qualified childcare practitioner with over 12 years experience.
I offer high quality childcare, in a welcoming and stimulating home environment with the opportunity for children to grow and develop.
I offer before and after school care (linked to Brunshaw Primary). My opening hours are 7:30-5:30.
I cook healthy, home cooked lunches and will often encourage the children to get involved. I also live nearby the beautiful Townley Park, which we visit regularly as well as other trips out.
My setting offers the opportunity for every child to learn and reach their full potential. A typical day at our setting will involve:
- Breakfast time
- Groups at our local Children's Centre
- Healthy, hot lunch cooked from scratch
- Music session
- Trips to the farm/park/museums
- Story time
- Sensory play (Water/cereal/foam)
- Arts and crafts
The children are free to choose their own resources and follow their interests.

I have 12 years experience working as a private nanny and also a deputy manager in a nursery.
My Qualifications
- Level 3 Childcare (BTEC)
- Paediatric First Aid
- Health and safety
- Food hygiene
- Safeguarding - Level 2
- Maths training
- British Values and Prevent Duty
- Physical Development training
I was also the lead practitioner for a project called ECaT (Every Child a Talker). This enables me to:
- Support all children with their speech and language.
- Create a language rich environment for the children
- Be aware of possible speech delays with children and find out where to go next.

Kathryn, is very good with children and can immediately connect with them. She is a trustworthy person and very reliable. She has looked after my little boy often and he loves her.
