My Summary
🌸 Term Time Only Childcare 🌸
About Me
TERM TIME ONLY CONTRACTS.
I have been a Childcare Provider since 2012, furthering my knowledge by qualifying as an Early Years Educator (Level 3) in 2017, following two years of study.
I'm based on the Penwortham / Lostock Hall / Walton le Dale boundary which is within easy reach of the motorway system (PR1 9BF). I live with my husband, 3 children (aged 13, 15 and 18yrs) and our 2 small dogs, Betty and Obi.
We are very lucky to live in a large open plan home where the children have free access to a huge variety of different toys and resources. We have a secure garden which we utilise in the Summer months however we spend much of our time in the great outdoors! We fill our days with Gruffalo trails in the park, pirate hunts at the beach, mini beast hunts in the woods, all sorts of outdoor activities and exploring! We also visit the library, soft play centres and of course toddler groups, where the children have the opportunity to make even more friends in a larger environment! We celebrate various festivals and explore other cultures, we plant and nurture flowers and vegetables. We also do lots of messy play and arts and crafts ... plus baking!
I offer term-time only childcare in a home from home, fun-filled learning environment, tailored to the individual needs of the children in my care. No two days are the same and exploring nature and seeking out new learning opportunities is the key to my teaching ethos... we LOVE to explore!
I am very creative so the children regularly create masterpieces using various media and materials. I’m also a keen cook and love baking. We grow fruit and vegetables which we harvest and then use in our baking and cooking activities.
We generally visit the park, farm, woods, library or toddler groups in the mornings. This is an opportunity for the children to meet up with their friends (we meet up with a group of childminders and the children in their care so there’s lots of friends to be made!).
Afternoons consist of a mixture of planned activities (mark making, crafts, baking, numeracy/literacy work, etc), free play and time for the children to nap and relax.
I can offer the Government funded childcare.
I only offer 'Term time only contracts' (perfect for those parents who work in a school/college or have back-up childcare for in the school holidays).
Please note I only offer care to pre-school aged children (no before/after school or school holiday care).

Jenny is absolutely amazing. Im so glad we found her!
Super kind, loving and understanding with all the children. She helps them learn and grow in every way possible! There is nothing bad i can say at all. From the moment we took our daughter she has always skipped in and loved every minute of the activities and adventures they have. She always come home with a smile on her face ready to tell us all about her exciting day.
If you are looking for a childminder i would definitely say look no further, you will not find a better one than Jenny!
Jenny - Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do!
This is the nickname we give to this amazing childminder and hers for our son was 'Dribbly Drew'. She looked after our son from when he was 6 months old until he went to 'big school'. She cared for him and nurtured him in an environment where he felt so safe and secure and happy. Always professional yet kind and caring. I cried genuine tears when he left as she really cared for him like her own! Working full time, it was a great comfort to drop him off and be confident that he was in such good hands. He had so many opportunities to explore the outdoors and grew into a kind, polite and fun little boy. He was either baking, creating or getting wet or muddy! I loved seeing his adventures with all the photos she sent, it was great! A true star and he still talks about her and all his adventures he had with her to this day(he's nearly 7). He wanted to go round to visit just the other night to wish her a Happy Halloween. He had the best early years experience!
My little boy has been attending Jenny’s since he was 9 months old. He is now almost 3 and a half. Sending Bobby to Jenny’s has been the best thing I’ve ever done for him. Jenny is wonderful. She does something with the children every single day and they’re always on the go, learning new things and having fun. Jenny makes learning fun, and Bobby has learnt so much from his time with her. I know that Bobby is safe and loved when he’s with her, and I’ve never had to worry about him when he’s in her care. I have seen my child grow from a baby into a grown up boy who’s getting ready to start school. It will be a sad day in our house the day he finishes with Jenny. He loves her and so do we. Couldn’t recommend her enough.
My son has been with Jenny since he was 9 months old and now at 20 months he couldn't be happier. He loves his days spent with Jenny and the other children and no day is the same. I love reading his daily diary and seeing all the fun activities he has done and the numerous crafts he has stuffed inside to keep. His confidence has grown incredibly since first going to Jennys along with his speach and social skills. I have no doubt that Jenny has played a great part in this through her enthusiasm and genuine interest in his wellbeing and development. We now have another son and I cannot wait for him to start joining his big brother to play and learn together. i highly recommend Jenny to everyone.
My daughter Amelila has been with Jenny since she was 9 months, She is now over 18 months. Amelia has come on leaps and bounds since spending time with Jenny, Jenny's range of learning activities always keep Amelia happy and interested. Jenny provides a safe warm loving environment which made it really easy for her to settle in straight away, Jenny always keeps well informed of current and future events which Amelia is involved in. My main concern is always Amelia health and happiness, and I never have to worry about her when she is with Jenny, I can highly recommend Jenny
